Glass Block Window with color: beautiful and easy to install
We combined these clear blocks with color blocks that were available in the same size (8x4") by order at Home Depot . They arrived very quickly, well packaged. We decided to use mortar to install them because it was on an external wall and mostly because the Slimline track spacers we bought to install them did not fit. However that product was made for the Pittsburgh Corning blocks and these were Tafco blocks. Even though the blocks are supposedly the same size, don't try to use the spacers with them (the Pittsburgh Corning slimline perimeter channels didnt really fit either). Project turned out beautifully.

Perfect windows for our project
We wanted to put windows in our dog Misty's house and these glass blocks were perfect for the job which is still a work in progress. They add just the right amount of light but retains her privacy because of the ice pattern. They look as good from the inside of the dog house as they do from the outside and will look even better when we come up with the right frame. We didn't use them all but have found that they make beautiful book ends. Just one more use for these great ice pattern glass blocks.

I didn't realize these blocks, unlike the Pittsburgh Corning block, were etched with white (paint?) along the outside rim. I was using these blocks for a lighted craft project and the white just didn't work. Had to return.

Glass pieces were very well packaged and all pieces...
Glass pieces were very well packaged and all pieces arrived intact. Easy to install and the entire project took an afternoon for a full sized window. The window effect is spectacular!!

energy efficient
Great for windows because it does not allow the transfer of heat or cold from the outside to the inside. This is due to the vacuum inside the block.

I bought this product from Home Depot because they had more selections and better prices than anyone else. I love the look of the glass blocks and they are prefect for what I need.
