Why change a great product?
I’ve had a PowerShot 5700 for years! After awhile it seemed to get weaker, so I didn’t even hesitate at buying another. But….it no longer comes with the wire guide. That was one of my favorite features, especially at Christmas time hanging lights!! The instruction manual included shows one that clips on but it didn’t come included. Now you have to HOPE you’re straddling the wires!! Definitely a down grade!!

    Junk!!!
Staples slid in easy. Jammed at stapling end. Took apart, removed jam. Put back togetheer jammed again. Took apart again, and gave up, as other parts started to dislocate. 2 hours of messing around and still could not staple. Now just a pile of junk!

      Stapled hand 2x
Bought it the first day and my workers stapled their hand accidentally because they thought when they grip the trigger the staple cames out like the other common staple guns . But they were gripping on to the bottom were the staple actually comes out. And the accidentally staples they’re hand … I do not … I repeat do not recommend this stapler!

Hello - This staple gun is a forward-action stapler, gun so its handle points toward the trigger end, in the opposite direction of the traditional staple gun. This helps make it easier to fire than traditional staple guns since pressure is placed at the front of the tool, where the staple is ejected. We recommend reading instructions for any staple gun before using. This video from our YouTube channel shows the PowerShot in action: https://bit.ly/2y7A9RI. - Your Arrow Fastener Team Arrow
“In the unlikely event of a staple jam…” LOL
Tolerances matter to me, at least. Unfortunately, Arrow’s manufacturing tolerances allowed an assymetrical part, which means this thing is just trash.

          Not well made
I’ve had two of these power shots, staplers, and will not buy a third. The quality of some of the components, namely, the part that holds the staples in, is very poor. Mine broke at the end that holds the staples. When I tried to get a replacement, it took a while to get a response from anyone and then when I did get a response they told me they would send me a new part for $10 that’s half the price of the stapler itself.

Piece of junk- DO NOT BUY!
Bought this PowerShot 5700 stapler after my 30 year old arrow T50 finally broke. Disappointment doesn't start to say what I went through with this new version of a stapler. I bought a box of 5/16" arrow staples to go along with it. I was going to staple some fabric to some 3/8" pine lath strips. No big deal right? I went through about 2 rows of staples from the box of staples I got with the Power shot 5700 and then it started jamming up. And not just occasionally. It would work on 1 and then jam 2-3 times in a row. Also it started to not fire when the handle was pushed all the way down. If it wasn't one problem it was the other. What a waste. After using my old T50 for decades this new improved stapler was such a waste I thought for sure it must be a cheap import. But no, it says on the box made in the USA. What has happened to the quality that my T50 had for decades? ONCE BURNED, TWICE REMEMBERED

Good to throw in the trash
Worst tool I can ever remember buying. Had a T50 stapler for over 30 years. Thought this newer design might be easier to use. No way. It jams up like nothing I have ever experienced I my past 70+ years. Time to move on and but a different brand. Wish I had read the reviews first, but didn't feel it would be necessary after using the old Arrow T50 for so long. Things seem to change over the years. The bitterness of poor quality will remain forever.

                    Weird
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is awkward ar best. It delays when firing requiring one to hold perfectly still yet letting up just a tad before it will fire. Actually returned the original one I purchased before Ifigured out the 'trick'. The design, in theory, is nice but not practical

Hello - We're sorry to hear that you're not completely happy with your staple gun. As a forward-action stapler, it is designed to to be easier to fire than standard manual staplers. We hope you've become accustomed to the design and it's working well for you. - Your Arrow Fastener Team
Easy to use, but started to malfunction after putting less than 1000 staples through it.
Loved this tool for about 750 trigger pulls/pushes, after which it started to misfire and jam. Had to disassemble and repair the area where the hammer pushes the staple through. the head guard/guide was loose and allowed the staples to jam the exit. It was an easy fix using a punch, hammer and vise. It now actually works better than new.

                        Great stapler for our needs!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for building a cat tree. Despite its smaller size, it was able to get through a few layers of the thick fabric we used to cover the tree itself. At first I wasn't sure it would be able to get through those layers, but the end result was GREAT!

Got it because it is made in the USA. That's all great but it actually looks like it came across the ocean with all the rust...At any rate, the mechanism that pushes the staples out is stuck. Due to the rust, not sure...

                            All around use.
I do everything under the sun around the house, plus my beekeeping. There are so many uses for this staple gun. Great design, worked well, but just stopped working, Pressed the handle down and doesn't trip the driving slide, The handle goes all the way down, you have to release it and then do it again, sometimes it fires, most of the time it doesn't. Sending in for repair.

Please take a look at this video on clearing jams from the stapler (https://bit.ly/3aKgpRz), as well as the video on loading (http://bit.ly/5700-load) to double-check that you're doing those things correctly. Also make sure you're using Arrow T50 staples that 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2" or 9/16" in length. If the staple is too long to penetrate the material/wood, it also may cause jams. Keeps getting jammed up.
Keeps getting jammed up. I can staple about five times before it gets jammed up. I have to keep taking it apart and also taking the spring out to pull the staples out in order to get the jam out. I originally bought this stapler because of the design made it much easier to pull the trigger then my husbands T-50 arrow stapler. I thought this one would go faster to get my job done but it’s taking longer because I have the jams. I’ll just go back to using my husband’s staple gun even though it’s harder to pull the trigger. I would not recommend this product. I’m not happy with it.

I purchased this for the reverse grip, after using it a handful of times it jammed and stopped working. I watched the videos on troubleshooting and nothing worked. I spent more time troubleshooting than I did actually using the stapler. I called customer service because it has a “lifetime warranty” and I was told to send it back with a receipt, on my dime, plus an $8 check!!!!! Outrageous! Oh, and it would take approximately 120 days for a replacement. What a joke

Good for stapling your hand by accident
If you're in a hurry and not thinking about the strange design, you think the staple will come out one end when it comes out the other. I was pushing the staple end and stapled the ball of my hand with a 3/8" staple that went all the way in. Had to get a tetanus shot and ruined my day. Should be recalled!

Spend more time trying to fix than use
Keep browsing and Do not buy the stapler. It is the worst tool in my toolbox. I load the stapler, go to use it, it staples once or twice, and then I spend 20 to 30 minutes disassembling it yanking the jammed staples, fixing it and putting it back together to staple two more times. It absolutely sucks.

Many thousands of staples driven with vary few jams!
Our Art Professor demonstrated this stapler when I was in art school 30 years ago. We use these to attach canvas to wood frames. When I saw how easy and fast this tool works, I went out that evening and bought one. Since then, I have made HUNDREDS of paintings which requires THOUSANDS of staples. I can only recall a few times when I had any problems, and that was because I used off-brand cheap staples. When I moved, I couldn't find my trusty Pow-Shot, so I bought a new one. It works just as well as the old one! And when I finally found my old one hiding under a pile of kitchen utensiles, it still works perfectly too! I've tried expensive electric staplers. But even the best of those are barely faster or easier. This requires no batteries, cords or complications. i simply works and it always works WELL.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the Powershot 5700 multiple times with my furniture and woodworking projects. I previously had the T50, which was a fantastic tool, also. Decided to upgrade when I started to need Brad nails for my smaller projects and backings for the bookcases and shelves I was making. You know you have a great product when you don't even think about a different brand being available.

The only thing that is nice about this is that it is easy to “staple” if you can ever get it to work...... if you don’t mind it constantly jamming after every other staple and wasting so much time fixing it this would be perfect for you unfortunately I’d rather hammer staples in than use this. Save your money buy something that works!

1 out of 4 ain't bad...if you don't mind pulling out bad staples, buying extra staples and have time to waste
I bought a Powershot about 20+ years ago to make a wood strip fiberglass kayak. The thing was a tank. 1,000's of staples later...it "disappeared" from a job site a few months ago but was still firing just fine and leaving staples flush with the surface. You know, the way they are supposed to be. But, unfortunately since someone else decided the tool looked better in their tool box than mine, I had to replace it. I didn't even shop the selections. I walked into the store, grabbed another Powershot and headed to the register. Doh! I should have read all the warnings, I mean reviews. So now I'm stuck with this toy. 1 out of 4 staples drives properly. The others go in about half way and are mangled. You have to pull them out with pliers because they stick up to high to just drive another one and forget about it. What happened to this tool? It USED to be great. Too bad. Guess I'm headed back to the store to replace this toy with a real tool.

Hi Jason, We are sorry to hear about your experience with your new Arrow PowerShot 5700. Obviously you are familiar with the tool, so our guess is that the issue in not in how you are loading the staples or the size of staples you are using for the job. Please contact us at customercare@arrowfastener.com or 800-776-2228. Great tool to have in my arsenal!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this the same day that I bought it....amazing! It is much easier than the staplers where the staples come out the opposite end of where you are pushing down.......on the nose. Somebody really did their homework with this one. Thanks.....and God bless!

                                                          Worked for about 10 staples
I was excited to try this PowerShot as my dad had one for years! I was super pleased with it for the first 10 staples, then it stopped working and the handle became loose to where there was no tension. I thoroughly inspected it and could not find a jam or any type of foreign object inside it. I'm fairly disappointed but it's a great tool when it worked! This was the 2nd PowerShot to fail during an insulation job for my home so I'll be headed back to the classic t-50 stapler.

Hey Mike, we're so sorry you were disappointed by your experience with the PowerShot 5700. Although it may not look like there is a stuck staple, we would recommend removing the magazine just to double-check (as shown here: http://bit.ly/5700-tip) if you haven't already done so because what you've described can occur if this a staple stuck inside of the magazine. However, if this does not resolve the issue or if you've already tried that, please give us a call at 800-776-2228 or email customercare@arrowfastener.com since this issue also may fall within our product warranty. We apologize for the inconvenience, but thank you for giving us an opportunity to address this. -Your Arrow Fastener team Arrow

                                                            Easy to use, made well.

She had trouble using the T-50 as it’s a little difficult to squeeze. Furthermore the way it’s designed the staple comes out where you apply the most pressure when using it. This make it FAR easier to work with.
