The nut that is part of the hinge design has fallen off on two out of my three knives, it just comes loose from opening and closing the knife. All of them the back little guard that keeps the knife straight has fallen off as well on all of them. The screws that hold the blade holder together have stripped themselves and no longer hold the blade. The knives are thick and not great to open in the first place. The previous design was much greater. Not perfect but much better.

hard to lock and unlock blade
The price was right and I had bought some similar in the past so I thought these would be just like them. They have a different style unlocking mechanism. The mechanism seems to work better after spraying it with pb blaster. I don't know how long it will remain freed up. Only time will tell. I can see how this got discontinued. With a little tlc this product can be ok but why should you have to lubricate a brand new product to make it work.

Best Utility Knife I've Ever Bought
I purcased 2 3pcs sets of this Utility Knife and love them. I have one in each of my 5 cars and 1 for the garage and at work. I only problem I had is that one of the handels used to release the blade is broken, This mean the blade is not locked in place and bends backwards about a half inch before it locks. the belt hook was perfect for my caribeaner I use on my work lanyard. Knife is a little bulkey and heavy but not that bad compared to other knifes with the same features. Sorry to hear they are now discontinued, I would recomend this knife. Price is right plus the 15 extra blades is a steal. Have been in contact to see if I can get the one replace. Overall I love this knife

Not as described in Web Listing.
Item was listed as 3 Pack with 15 Blades. Item received is 3 Pack with 6 Blades. A different of 9 Blades per pack. So on my Order of 5 Sets, I lost 9 Blades x 5 Sets = 45 Blades short.

Surprised
Unfortunately on 2 out of the 3 knives the locking mechanism doesn't function properly for the blade. The blade falls out after replacing it. After wiggling it till it stays, I start cutting even a box, the blade falls out again. I'm a bit disappointed..

Seems ok to me
There are a lot of negative reviews on here for this knife set, but I haven't had any problems with mine. I've used them for cutting drywall mostly and haven't had any issues with loosing blades or having them fold over as others have mentioned despite not being particularly careful.
I planned on just getting a retractable knife, but I like that these are a little harder to open since I have small kids at home and I don't think they could open one if they somehow got ahold of it. I don't find it difficult to open with two hands, but opening it with one hand is a pain.

not worth 1.00
Broke it by changing the blade. I opened the package and took the included blade out and put a new irwin blade in and it wouldn't hold the blade. It went in fully but it fell out. Failed before I even used it.

Poor quality
Screws have fallen out of 2 and 1 I have not used yet. Strange normally Husky has better quality...I won't buy them again.

Bound to Break
The stop that prevents the blade from folding back on itself is poorly designed. It is a small cylinder wedged between the two sides of the knife. If you press hard enough the cylinder pops out and your knuckles crash into whatever you were trying to cut. All three of my knives broke within 6 months. Bad enough for a recall.
If its worth anything, I own a husky tape measurer and flood light that I like a lot. This ruins my otherwise stellar perception of husky products. Its a shame, a darn shame.

Does not hold blade
We were very unhappy with this utility knife set. The blade will not stay in the knife. We will be returning these to the store.

Not the best
Durability is there, however the handle for a razor is a little to big, Not good for the job site due to the speed of unlocking it to open it and closing of the knife Also it has a slow rotation when the blade starts to open or close

Not for Drywall
I bought the three pack and have broken all. The stop that prevents the blade housing from opening more than 90 deg. comes out if too much pressure is applied. Knife may do well with light cuts but its not for drywall. I do like the flick to open with one hand but not worth the aggravation. once the pin comes out you can put it back in (if you can find it) but it will come out again.

husky cutter falls apart on first use.
felt like the cutter was built solid, but fell apart during first use. make sure to check the blade locking nut often or yours to will fall apart and you may also loose the parts as they come flying through the air.

Nice Set
It is nice that this set has three knives in it - since we all know that once you put your knife down..... you can never seem to find it immediately. The knives are heavy enough to feel good in your hand and do not seem to run the risk of snapping shut.

Good For The Price, But Not Comfortable
Compared to the traditional utility knives (Stanley, etc.) these are a wonderful step up. They do not jam, they seem sharper for longer periods and the blades are easy to change. A good value for the price, but the handle design changed from the ones that HD offered last year and they were more comfortable

durable
The description fooled me a litttle. I though i was getting a knife with built in storage. not so. They do give you spare blades but in a seperate holder. not sure why they got rid of the flip knife with storage, that was my favorite. these are nice, solid knives

Used the warranty quite a bit
I have been using this product for years and sometimes you get a knife that lasts quite a while and sometimes you get a knife that only lasts a couple of weeks. However, the knife has a lifetime warranty on it, so if you have a performance issue with the knife you just take it to the store and grab another one. It's easy to replace the blades.

worst utility knife ever
I work for a cable company, so a lot of my work is done in the air. I really like the design of this tool but My first night of using this the blade fell out while 30ft up. Not a good thing at 2AM. No biggie i bought the set of 3 and took 2 up with me (in case i drop the whole knife) and blade number 2 popped out. Now I'm mad because I left my kobalt knife at home, Got a new blade from truck and very very carefully cut what i needed to. You can not put pressure on this tool otherwise it is worthless and the blade will fall out.

Not impressed
Was looking for new utility knives, and wanted something that was very heavy duty.
Saw this 3 pack of Husky utility knives that looked extremely well built.
So now a couple of days later, and I have a use for this new tool. I needed to slightly shave a piece of new drywall, and to my surprise, the small chrome pin above the t-lock devise, (which is there to prevent the blade holder from overextending), pops out and renders the knife useless. I had to find a tweezer to put this apparently spring loaded pin back in.
And just to make sure this was not a fluke, I used the knife again the next day, again not on anything where I was putting a large amount of pressure on the blade, and again the pin was dislodged.
I think Husky needs to go back to their engineering department.

only a few drops of loctite from being excellent
Bought this a while ago, so far they're my favorite folding utility knife design. Much better than the slide-out style (which likes to drop blades and retract into the handle while you're trying to use it), much better than the older folding knives. Problem is, the darn screws holding the knife together like to fall out over time and I'm down to two working knives at this point because of parts falling off and getting lost while I'm working. The third I've kept as a source of spare parts for when they fall off the other two. If they'd just put a little loctite on each screw before torquing them down, these knives would be almost perfect and by far the best I've used.
I recommend these, as long as you're comfortable buying a tiny allen key and a tube of loctite to solve the problem yourself.
