All the reviews gave it 5 stars. I honestly thought it would be thicker than it was. It is about 1/8 to1/4 inch thick. Installation is very easy, but it only came with one tube of adhesive. No installation instructions were with it. I googled a Swanstone video. Nice and simple design. Matches the American Standard regular white tub pretty closely.

VERY NICE !! WAY BETTER THAN ONES CARRIED IN STORE
I looked at the tub walls kits in stock at local Home Depot. Most were very thin and flimsy. After checking options online, I ordered this Swanstone 3 piece set. VERY NICE !! Much thicker ! Nice glossy finish (so cleans up easy) ... I wanted the least amount of soap shelves so easier to keep clean. I got the 3 piece kit (not 5 piece kit) so there would be less seams to caulk (less maintenance down the road and less chance of any leaks) ... Slight downside > one of the walls in my tub area must not have been square so I had to trim the bottom edge of one of the panels. I used a jig/sabre saw with a very fine blade for most of cutting and a hacksaw to cut the curved part of panel. Panel was kind of tough to cut but did NOT crack. (I put a piece of plywood underneath the panel to add some support ... put plywood about an inch away from edge I was cutting) ... The kit came with 4 tubes of silicone (didn't see that in directions but silicone was "hidden" in bottom of box under Styrofoam) ... 3 tubes were CLEAR silicone and one was WHITE. CLEAR is for sticking panels to walls ... WHITE is for sealing around edges of panel ... (hard to tell which tube is which color but it has CLEAR or WHITE printed in tiny letter on tube) ...
OVERALL >> This has been installed for a month now ... LOOKS GREAT !! EASY TO CLEAN (so far ... hope finish holds up for years and years) ... SO GLAD I replaced my old tub walls ... AND SO GLAD I ORDERED THIS instead of going with one of the cheap ones in the store ! Shipping was $55 (because it's over-size) but it was well worth it !!!

Simple, strong enough, only has one shelf to clean, nice surface finish, and trims pretty well without shredding the edge.
You will need a lot more silicone adhesive than the single tube that comes with it; I used 5 tubes!

Chipped. Twice!
I had to repack two times. The same panel was chipped both times. Construction could not wait. I purchased direct from home depot a much cheaper surround. Very disappointed. But I had a deadline

Good quality
Good quality surround. Only comes with one tube of adhesive and no directions though. Wish it was available in a taller option as well.

Nice surround. But, size does not match the description
This s a nice surround. It's easy to work with. The only issue I have is the size. It's advertised as being 30 inches deep. But, it is only 29 inches deep. It's for use with a 30 inch tub.

Sturdy surround
This surround is more expensive than most of the other choices and had to be pre-ordered. Directions were not included in my package but there is an excellent how-to video on Swanstone's website This is the second bath/shower surround of this make and model I have installed. It is an easy installation and because it is sturdy I didn't have to worry about an accidental breakage. The old surround was cheap, thin, and flimsy and ripped out and apart easily. My walls were not straight or flat and I glued new tub surround direct to green board after applying sealer. Had to use a lot of adhesive and some sanding/filing was required along tub line to achieve a flush fit. Although it says its not required, I uses the silicone caulked all the way around. It looks good and I am again happy with this product.

Very forgiving
I would have given this a 5 star but there were some pockmarks on one of the side panels. Luckily they are in an area that the shower curtain will be covering. This was my first install of this kind of product. The walls is my bath are not exactly square and definitely not flat. My tub was not quite level on one end and I had to sand down some of the bottom of one of the side panels. I used a heavy grit (60 I think) paper and hand sanded it down about 1/8" and it was very easy to sand and to see your progress. Unbelievably it fit the first try. There are a couple areas that are a little higher and lower in spots but you have to look for them. That is not the products fault. Really happy with this product. I bought it because of the other positive reviews and wanted to give one of my own.

High quality, easy to install surround
This was the 1st tub surround that I ever installed. Installation was very easy. I used Loctite Power Grab adhesive and it really worked well. Using the box to make a template for the holes that had to be cut made that part go really well. Once the 2 end pieces were glued on, the middle panel was a snap. You have some wiggle room (2-3" of overlap on each side which is great if your walls are a little out of square like mine). The surround is fairly thick and stiff, not like some of the really thin ones I've seen. We really like the plain design. I would not hesitate to buy another.

Great product for the money
Product was of good quality and thickness. Each piece had initials of the inspectors on it there was no damage on any piece. I like the rounded corners (no seems in the corners), and the ability to cut out for a window, and to install a grab bar. I also used and extra tub of glue per piece. I installed this in my mom's bathroom and plan to install it in my bathroom as well.

They don't flex and move under use. I've installed 4 or 5 of these in rental units over the last 10 years. They are excellent. The first one I installed still looks near-new. Use heavy water vapor barrier under the sheet rock you will be gluing to and it doesn't hurt to use a construction adhesive before you install the panels. (Why rely on double-stick tape that is included?) I normally screw the panels to studs in a few places.
Make sure the panels fit fairly tightly against the sheet rock or walls behind and restrain the panels while the adhesive sets. There is no need for silicone on the enclosure wall seams if you do this. The silicone will only make it easier for mold to grow.

This product is beautiful but be aware when you install it
Like I said, it is beautiful, classy, and does not look like the one that HD has on display for the same price, almost.
However, when you install, all the pieces don't stick to the wall perfectly.
For the 2 side panels, I had to use a round wooden rod to press the 2 side panels glued to the walls.
1, cut a piece of 2 by 2 about 2 inches longer than the width and then put a piece of cloth on each side to protect the side panels from being scratched
2. let it cure for 24 hours.
For the center panel, Swanstone did not make it deep enough to touch the back wall.
3. so before you install it with glue, put it up and use some shims to make it recess tightly to the back wall. Why, because if not, then you cannot make it water proof at the bottom seam of the center panel. I mean by caulking it. Use the wooden stirs that HD gives free at the paint dept. for this. Glue them to the wall, and especially at the top and the bottom and at the soap dish. When you can't push the center panel in and out, top, bottom and center, then you are OK.
4. lastly, when you put the silicone glue around it, try to make like 8 putties around each panel, so that when you press each panel against the wall, they will glue to the wall and after curing, they will make the panels feel solid.
I messed up my installation with the center panel, and had to wedge the center panel with 4 pieces of wooden rods against the cabinet. Thank god, the panels stick to the back wall after 48 hours. I complained to Swanstone and I think they know what I am talking about. But you can do it. Just read my review carefully before applying gle to the panels.
The panels have a life time warranty, so if they crack later, you can claim it under warranty.
All and all, it is still a beautiful product, superior than many others.

Very satisfied.
Very satisfied, product was as advertised, and I think the thickness was pliable yet sturdy.
