Grill is top end and really impressed with the exception of the knobs. Have replaced 3 in the first week as they split at the female connection.

I am a big weber fan. I had there 1st gen Genesis with the wood shelves. finally the burners and grates and wood were shot. Good service life. I bought a new Genesis and it started to rust and went thru a lot of grates. I moved and left it at the house and got a summit NG grill. the burners and grates and stainless steel stood up well. But the stand and fire box rusted real bad. Weber was good to deal with. Did nothing with the stand but sent a new firebox. Everything bolts to the firebox.. They sent no bolts screws and they were rusted bad as well. So I bought another Summit and was told they were made better. I also got another stainless steel (there not all stainless) the firebox has rusted quicker than the old one.. There great cooking grills but the porcelain cover steel is real bad on the fire box. This cart has stood up better but the service life is less than the last. The bad part is the firebox rots out where the valves go into the burner and you get fire out of the firebox in the valves area... I do not know what I am going to do. I would give it a 5 for cooking and being solid. Rust makes it a 1..

Never used a sear burner before, works perfectly! Also, nice to have a way to make smoke with the separate burner & box. The black version looks awesome and the entire grill heats fast and cooks perfect.

Great grill but the grill knobs Weber makes and sells are total junk. I've a grill that costs thousands that I can't use. I've replace them twice. I wound never buy another Weber product again.

Replaced my 25 yr old Genesis with this new Summit. Even cooking, great rotisserie (get a rotisserie basket for the BEST wings ever)…. No regrets on spending the money on this grill!

Great Grill having used it 5 times and for one very wet party the grill worked great. Sear station I need to get better at, but the rain did not effect our grilling whatsoever.

Purchased new in 2016/17 used it PLENTY over the years. This year I noticed the cook box rotted out the tubes the same along with att. hardware. Contacted WEBER and they agreed it was warranty but all parts weren't available, Eventually all arrived and I'll have a new grill! (well almost). Its refreshing to deal with an american company that stands behind its product like Weber and doesn't try to slime its way out of an issue.

The door trims are flimsy and the knobs are pathetic for a machine at this price - have broken three with minimal effort in a year Used rotisserie three times and it’s the best roast chicken ever.

I did not tray how small the grill is. All or dimensions looked big and I was distracted by that. Additionally the monster box take up a lot of room from the grilling space.

I purchased this grill in 2012 after owning another smaller Weber grill for about 15 years. I grill all year round and this Summit E-470 gas grill is the best grill I've ever owned, and my first was 41 years ago. I have been enjoying using it for almost 9 years now. It has every feature that I could ever need and is made to last a long time. Besides all of that I feel that Weber's Customer Service is excellent! Also when you do need to replace a part you know you can easily find it. I have also made many of their recipes from Weber's cookbooks and website that are my family favorites. I would recommend a Weber grill to anyone looking to buy one and I will be a Weber owner for life! Best grill ever!!

Looks great. Cooks great. Has everything the outdoor cook needs. Weber customer service was wonderful.

After using my dad's several years ago, I've been waiting until I could get my own. This grill can get over 700ºF in a matter of minutes. The specialty burners are all amazing and live up to the hype. My only complaint is the magnet on the right door doesn't grab the grill body very well, and that door keeps popping open.

Easy to assemble and get started. Large size with great features.

Setting up the grill was straight forward. Had a plumber hook up the natural gas line. The grill is amazing. It’s engineered with a lot of input from people that barbecue! From the drip pans to the lighted knobbs. The sear section and burners are great. My temperature hit 600 degrees in about seven minutes on the initial bbq. Very nice. Thank you.

Great BBQ but read directions thoroughly on how to start. Must hold down burner for at least 15 secs to start fires

I bought this unit 9 years ago. I have found it very flexible in cooking requirements. Direct heat, indirect heat. Space within the hood for roasting. Although it takes timing, I even do Forno roasting gourmet pizza on a stone. (Just put your wet wood chips in the smoker pan 5 minutes before you throw on your pizza on preheated stone, but use the semolina flour on stone to prevent sticking) Great BBQ, easiest cleaning you ever will get. Love my Summit

Grill is working great! It did take me around three hours to unpack the unit and assemble it completely.

I bought this grill in July, and have used it 2 to 3 times a week since. everything from searing steak, rotisserie of ribeye roasts, slow cooking pork ribs, and salmon on cedar planks. The only thing I wish was there was an option for cast iron grates to replace the stainless steel.

I've owned this for over 6 years now, and it was a great decision. It get used at least a couple times a week, all year round, and everything has held up great. Never gets covered and sits outside all year round. A couple of minor parts have broken on me due to heavy use and abuse, and replacements have cost next to nothing and been incredibly easy to swap. This is the kind of grill you buy once and use for the rest of your life. In an era where many appliances feel disposable, it's refreshing to own a product that feels this reliable. Makes you look like a very good cook, too, since the heat is so even and easy to control. Every part of this grill is well engineered and will last years. If you're thinking about a Summit, just go for it. They're worth the extra money.

Love it! Assembly was a bit challenging, but once together it’s amazing!

Love. LOve. LOVe. LOVE this grill. The assembly was so easy, compared to a Kenmore I assembled some 7 years ago which took so long to put together, it felt like I actually mined the metal, machined all the parts and then wrote an instruction manual in Russian which I translated through 15 other languages prior google translating it into English. The rotisserie function is incredible and we've already had 5 or 6 chickens through it since we got it last month. Planning on doing Turkey for Thanksgiving to save my wife 5-7 hours of oven time, as well as duck once duck season starts. This is the most I ever spent on a grill but man-o-man this was worth the money. You will not be disappointed in this beauty.

You lose grill space with the smoker box ! They don’t supply you with a grate to fill in the space if you choose not to use the smoker box and remove it!
