Fantastic Bamboo Flooring!
This bamboo flooring is amazing! The finished surface is flawless and has the feeling of a well-treated finish that will stand up to a lot of abuse. There's a lot of color variation between the separate planks, but that's what you would expect from a "natural" color and not the other treated options. I have this bamboo floor installed in a room with a light maple wood flooring in the hallway outside, and the color of the bamboo is yellower in color than the maple. I had a professional local flooring company install it for me and they did a quick, easy job of it. For the price, I kind of want the rest of my condo's floors redone in the same fashion now!

Worth the effort and cost
This is indeed a hard/dense wood product. I laid about 375 square feet and wore out a new power miter saw blade. The construction (tongue and groove) is consistent piece to piece, with no warping, making installation true and sure. You can do a great job with this product -- with no need to fill gaps etc. In all the pieces I had one dinged corner -- I was able to use the piece -- cutting that end to fit. There is a nice natural range of color and grain. Be sure to pull from 3-4 boxes at a time. I did a glue down and the instructions were precise and complete.

Bamboo floring
Nailer available in the Home depot renting place does not work with this floor. Wood is too thin for the nailer and it will destroy the tongue. I had to make 6 trips to the renting center. First I used the bamboo cleat nailer. Floor was too thing. Next it was an stapler. Floor was too hard and staples will bend. Next, I purchase a brad nailer. Some nails will bounce back and I got one stock in my forehead. The floor is extremely hard and that will be good in the long run. Even some of the brad nails turned into pretzels and did not go through the wood. I end up using a drill and nailing with floor with a hammer and a countersink. Talking about slave labor. Get somebody to do the job for you, or get the 3/4 size, so you can use the cleat nailer.
