Find a different door for the price this one it's built poorly. First off when I was installing it I notice that on one corner a staple and a screw completely missed the corner not by a little but a lot. Then I notice the top had ait gaps and I had to force the top down and I still have a air gap in the top corner where it opens. I had to add a gasket to seal it up for the winter. Save you money and find something else.

The door lets in some much needed sunshine and looks so much better than the previous solid door.

The door itself appears okay so far. But I literally had to rebuild the casings. The doors (I ordered 2 of them) showed up trashed, as though they were dragged through or across multiple laces without regard for condition. I had to accept the doors as I already had the openings built.

Well constructed, easy install

Overall, the door is good, but the shipping packaging was less than adiquate. The plastic pin in the door knob position that should hold the door in place during transport was sheered off when I picked up the door at Home Depot. I inspected the door for damage and ultimately accepted it.

The door is very pretty, however it does not close tightly. There is a slight gap between the door and the jam at the bottom. I must add some weatherstripping to make a tight fit.

Door jamb was damaged upon receipt, so I repaired the split wood frame with glue and screws and wood patched the area affected. The shipping frame was a bit of overkill seeing how number one, the frame was damaged and number two, the door was separated from the door jamb leaving it swinging open during transport. I decided to repair the jamb myself since I did not want to wait for another door and potential delay. I recommend a review of how your doors are prepared for shipping since the method in use now has issues.

I custom ordered this door from HD about 4 weeks ago. I paid $279. Now the price has jumped to $409. That's a substantial jump. At the price I paid I feel good about it but there are blemishes in the metal work. Its almost like it was dented then beat out then touch up painted with a different color in 3 different spots. Strange. The frame is rather tight and although I shimmed it properly and followed all directions it is a very stiff closing and opening door. At the updated price of $409, I would definitely not recommend this door.

I bought this door because it was significantly less expensive than the alternatives. The quality is good and it was easy to install. The installation of the window in the door could have been better as it was over caulked with the adhesive before it was installed because the frame isn't tight against the door but is within acceptable limits. The finish at the top and bottom was good but the metal skin could have been mitered better. I wouldn't want this for my front door but since I replaced an existing back door, it is fine.

Only reasonably priced swing-out door with window I could find that could replace our 30 year old swing-out back door. It a nice looking door with excellent seals and lets in lots of much needed light through the big window. It is a perfect size and fit to our small door opening.
