Hickory color doesn't match the pictures on the website at all. The door that came is essentially black, and the finish is so thick that you can't really see any visible wood grain or texture. I wish the brick mold and jambs were real mahogany (they seem to be poplar). I'm sure the brick mold will start warping and peeling before the door does. The sill, seals and glass are great quality. I wish the brick mold was not pre-installed, I had to remove it to install, and now I'll have too many visible nail holes. Overall, it is a better than average door, but it is not a perfectly built high-end door.

This door is absolutely beautiful and has quality craftsmanship; It looks expensive. The Glass is beveled around each individual pane. The door comes crated, padded, and wrapped in plastic. I was very impressed with the time and care they took to make sure it got to me in excellent shape. The door is nice and heavy and I have high hopes for it lasting for many years to come! The color is true to the main picture, it's almost a medium Orange-ish/brown(Autumn Wheat). It comes with putty/ wax sticks for the holes once you install the molding as well as a touch up marker for any scratches(which I did not have any). I would recommend this door for purchase based on my excellent experience!

I purchased the chestnut stained version as a replacement for an 80 year old wooden front door. This is an absolutely beautiful, well-made, quality door. I was concerned about not being able to see one first, since they are online-order only, but my doubts were extinguished when I saw it being delivered in an enormous 2x4 framed crate by two delivery men. It looks much better in person than online, quite rich, with the dark warm chestnut stain. We are very happy with this wooden replacement, as we considered fiberglass and other materials. I hope it lasts 80 years like the original house door. Bottom line, it's probably worth double the selling price. Gorgeous door.

The door's finish is badly bubbled, the manufacturer will not honor the warranty and Home Depot will not stand behind the product. We are stuck with an expensive door that we now need to have refinished. I will never do business with Home Depot again nor buy from Steves & Sons.

The door is beautiful. But we ordered a pre-hung door which turned out to be a lot wider than the jam we had before. Special accommodations will have to be made when the new siding goes in so it's not so obvious that the door sticks out too much from the house. Guess we assumed prehung doors were a standard size.

Love our new door, the quality is amazing. The way it was packed and shipped left little chance of it getting damaged. the craftsmanship is high quality, and the price was good. Very easy to install.

Professionally wrapped for transit. It looks beautiful and exactly the color we wanted. It's going to be a wonderful addition for welcoming guest to our home.

The door was well packaged in a full crate protected by heavy foam. It even included a fully finished, pre-mitered mahogany casing which was not expected. My only complaint is there isn't enough of a gap in the threshold to sweep area. Even with the threshold adjustment at it's lowest level, it drags. I'm considering cutting a few of the sweep's rubber strips but doubt that would ideal. Could have been an easy thing to avoid and I'm surprised it was missed considering the workmanship and fit n' finish of the rest of the product.
