The stone post cover and mail box support look nice. However, I would highly suggest you buy your own screws. They all strip very easily but One stripped so bad that we had to saw it off because we couldn’t get it all the way in and couldn’t back it out. Having three screws holding it in instead of four causes a lot move wiggle room/movement in the structure than I expected. It also caused our mailbox to not be able to sit flush against the post. There is a gap there now

I have wanted this mailbox post for a long time but Home Depot did not consistently have it in stock. I finally caught them at the right time, made the puchased, & had it shipped. My husband & I installed the post with Quickcrete & it took us two days total only because we wanted the mix to set firmly in the ground. The results are beautiful!! This post added the curb appeal I envisioned & adds value to our property in an affordable, reasonable way. This was a very doable diy so glad we have this item

This our 2nd purchase and love the easy installation. What GREAT curb appeal. The stone is a perfect match to our stone garden around the mailbox. Well made and would highly recommend.

I really wanted to love this product but it was shipped to my home so badly damaged it was falling apart in the box. I did return it for a full refund and ordered another one, with extra packaging this time. Again, I received the replacement post, with less damage but still a section on the lower part of the stones had been cracked and fallen off in the box (you could see the inner webbing). It is a lovely post but if the manufacturer can't get it to me without damage (TWICE), then that's a problem. Beware! (Side note, Home Depot's customer service was very helpful and understanding...this product's issue in no way reflects on them. This is 100% manufacturer related.)

Love it. We painted the top piece and the bracket to match our mailbox and trim. Hope it holds up against the plows. Easy to install over existing 4x4.

Looks great! My husband installed while I was out of town but he says it was not difficult just took a little time. I do recommend bracing on the inside with additional 2X4 if using over an existing post.

Pros: -price -looks beautiful Cons: -fragile, first one came damaged, second one was still cracked however the support was OK (was cracked on the first one too) -cap doesn't fit properly, had to trim the fiberglass top to have it properly sit flush. Not acceptable but at that point it was already too late to return. -mounting hw for the mailbox was flimsly... ended up getting a few small lag bolts which worked great. Advice: Make sure u inspect as soon as taking out of the box and test fit.

This mailbox post is just gorgeous! It was very simple and easy to install! We used a 4x4 post that we cemented into the ground for extra support. Followed the directions and a few of the tips that we read in other reviews and it was a synch! So many of our neighbors have stopped and commented on how beautiful it is. They thought that we actually built the post stone by stone! Little do they know it came all put together as one simple sleeve! I would highly recommend this product to everyone!

This mailbox and post has changed the whole curb side appeal of our home, and we have received many compliments. This is a very elegant and attractive post and mailbox, easy to install, and seems very durable. I love it, and find myself looking forward to checking the mail.

This is a high end mailbox post and does not include the mailbox itself. It is a bit pricey but the positive comments I've received made it all worthwhile. The brick portion consists of a sleeve that slides over the post, (not included). Either a 4 x 4 or 6 x 6 post can be used with the brick sleeve. It is fairly heavy so I would recommend having two people to lift it although I was able to do it myself with the help of a stepladder. The support bracket simply screws through the masonry sleeve to the inside post. For this, drilling a pilot hole with a masonry bit is recommended. Since the mailbox was not included, I also purchased an upgraded brown hammered metal mailbox from Home Depot and added brass numbers. The combination looks great and I've gotten several compliments already from both neighbors and passers by after only 2 weeks. The mailman likes it too.

Great look, impressive curb appeal! Envy of the neighborhood! Easy install, but a 4x4 post needs to be suck in concrete overnight for stability. Shipping was free and timely! Was ship in 3-4 days!

Looks great- like real stone and at a fraction of the cost. Easy order and delivery! What more you could ask for?

I've had the item for approximately two years now and it is beginning to crack at the bottom and near the top. It looks nice however the quality of the material is not what I good.

I would have given this product a higher rating but the hardware is very low quality. The mounting screws phillips heads striped before I could sink them into the wooden post and I had to struggle to get them back out even though I had pre-drilled the holes into the wooden post (and yes I did use the correct phillips head drill drives). Do yourself a favor and have your local hardware store pick out better quality screws with other than phillips head screws, maybe deck screws.

Finished product looks great. If you are starting with a new install, go with a 6x6 post. The resin mailbox pedestal on mine wasn’t molded correctly and cracked off a piece when I assembled it. I glued it back together and it’s not visible.

This was easy to assemble, however, it had a small chip on one side but we just decided to stay with it.

Overall this is worth the price. This would be an Excellent purchase if:1. The screws used to attach the arm/post to your 4x4 were better quality. They could be self drilling into wood. (For quite a few reasons) and the paint on them chips off easily.(even with care)2. Better directions.

I love my new box, it really added curb appeal to my house, and my neighbors have asked where did I purchase, so if you're thinking about buying I would suggest buy now, because I had to wait several months for home depot to get back in stock.
