The stack kit made stacking my dryer easy and safe! I love the extra space we have!

Easy to use, The only issue I had is the self tapping screws had a tendency to strip because they were a bit soft.

The units are stacked and everything seems to be working as it should.

The rubber strips aren't thick enough to absorb movement of the dryer stacked above the washer, according to the installation guys. I said this is what HomeDepot sold me. And they said, you need a thicker one. I went back to HomeDepot and they said this is all they had. Just great!

Major delay to delivery since installation could not ocurr due to a missing bracket in the package. Stacking kit should have been sent to installer and not to the consumer. Unable to get new bracket !! Had to obtain. Racket from Loews for HD 3rd party install. A complete cluster Marcus

does the job as intended... a little disappointed that the kit was NOT included in my purchase of a $700 washer, tho.. sorta like buying a car with no tires ????

This was installed for me. No problems with this.

Cheap and inadequate. Does not do a good job of stabilizing the units. Only connection is in the rear. Should have something to connect the front of the washer& dryer together too.

Little confusing at first but works very well once its on. Excellent way to save space!

The crew arrived on time and set machine up using great care. . . very nice guys. the machine looks beautiful and it's quite large, my Queen sized comforter set and about 4 sheets fit quite comfortably. My only problem was that it didn't seem to be using enough water. I know it's water efficient, but I like to see my laundry swirling around in water and detergent bubbles and I didn't see any of this at all even using more than the recommended detergent. I got to the point where I stopped the machine halfway at one point to see if the clothes were even wet and they were. However if there was some way of adding more water that would make my day. As it is, I just washed twice to make sure they were actually getting clean. I did a regular wash and a fast wash and they did smell clean. Now that doesn't serve the purpose of efficiency at all... On my second wash,(white laundry) they didn't look as clean as my previous stacked washer (Frigidaire) got them. So now I know I have to prewash certain whites before adding them to this machine. All in all I give it a 4. I now have to find a way to mount my dryer to the top of this washer . From all of the comments I've read, it seems the Maytag dryer doesn't fit properly on this corresponding washer as its 2" shorter, so I decided not to throw away my perfectly good Frigidaire dryer and to use it instead.

The 5000 series should have a unique stacking kit designed for it since this kit is Bad in that the units when stacked are different depths so when using this stacking kit (which requires the BACK be aligned , it leaves the Dryer (top unit) sitting BACK from the washer unit below. The fronts of the two 5000 series units do NOT align vertically and it looks strange , look at the photos. In the store , you won't ever see the stacking kit installed because they wouldn't sell any units that way , because in the STORE they are aligned so the fronts are vertically the same... And , when installed in your house and when the end customer realizes they have been sold units that don't stack properly and then call Maytag, they are told units installed wrong , but of course Home Depot and installer say that's the way Maytag made them ..... end user left in the middle Bad design flaw , and all they need to do is make a new stacking bracket to compensate for the 2" offset , so guess who will need to make that , me .... What sort of Beta testing do these people do on their product , it was evident to me in 30seconds of seeing the unit installed .... OK , maybe 10seconds of seeing it.... one attached photo is my install , the other attached photo is from another customer on this site which it's obvious they have same issue . What is strange to me is who else out there has this issue on stacked 5000 and just put's up with the flawed design of the stacking kit without doing something about it ?

The kit does what it is supposed to do; keeps the dryer stacked securely on top of the washing machine without moving around. Be sure to attack the adhesive strips to the bottom of the dryer, not on top of the washer! The delivery people are not responsible for reading the instructions, and they will probably put the strips on the washer if you don't pay attention. That being said, I think the price is too high for what is included in the kit.

Good Whirlpool washer and dryer. They probably will last for a long time.

Not much in this kit, two small clips & screws for the backside of the washer/dryer, self stick strips to keep rough bottom edge of dryer from rubbing, scraping and vibrating on top of washer. All that said, these go on quick, work well. I do wish stores would keep these very small items in stock in the store, it would have been nice to be able to pick up with out the 3 day wait and delay getting the dryer up and going.

Having the washer and dryer completely installed by home depot was the easier and best thing to do!

Bought in HD in Carolina Puerto Rico with washer and dryer, on delivery the Kit was incomplete, no metal brackets in the bag. Went back to the store and 5 days later I am still waiting for the kit replacement and installation. Very disappointed whit Whirlpool and Home Depot. Will not buy any other appliance with them or recommend the store.

The item ordered arrived on time, installed like the way it should be with no problem. The washer /dryer the item was used for did its excellent job holding the units together during the last earthquake (I thought the dryer was going to fall down but it didn't).

Strong and secure brackets keep a sturdy hold of the appliances. We have no worries that the w/d system is unstable. This device helps saves space and makes this mommy happy.

It's two brackets, and four screws that keep your dryer from falling off your washer when you stack them. There's not a lot to it. I was hoping that the long strips I saw were a piece of trim to make the stacked washer/dryer look like a single unit. The strips are just padded tape to protect the top of the washer.

Mounts to the back. The front floats. In our case, you can push on the front and move it back and forth. With the dryer moving and vibrating over time we will see a bigger problem. The quiet dryer now squeaks when it is drying and even when you open the door. Really sad and poor design.
