Customer Reviews for Westinghouse Square Parisian 18 in. Iron Scroll Ceiling Medallion

It looked fantastic, and still does now that it's on the ceiling. However, like many other customers, I got one that was bowed/warped. Sitting tight on the ceiling? Forget it. I mitigated SOME of the problem by putting weights (plate weights, from an actual barbell set) on it for a couple of WEEKS. Was terrified it would crack, but it didn't. I also used hot glue to try to keep it tight on the ceiling in the corners -- a couple are holding, but the other two have popped. Doesn't look BAD, but it's not ideal, either. Nice matte finish, and you'd swear it's real iron. The center hole is double-beveled, so it can accommodate some fluctuation in canopy diameter (mine was 4"). Looks great, integrated with a black fixture. You may need a longer nipple to accommodate the extra "thickness" of the canopy, but there's one (maybe two?) included in the package for standard threading. Good luck! Michael

It is lightweight and was easy to install. I used it as a medallion to the entrance of my property. I hung it like a picture. I looks awesome. It looks expensive and very regal. It looks like it was meant for that wall.

instructions were not too easy. should come with screws to install rather than recommend gluing to ceiling.

looks great; set off a vintage chandelier perfectly

I bought two of these medallions to use as wall art. I painted each one and put a mirror behind the hole. Very unusual and they look great!

I used this medallion in a skylight and dropped a chandelier from it. It turned out incredibly well. The price was great, but it looks plastic, although it isn't. With a little metallic paint added it looks like wrought iron and fabulous!

Ordered 4 of these as accent pieces and they all arrived warped. Will be sending the back, not worth purchasing.
