It does the job. For 40 amp wire, this is as good as any

It is as described. I used it to make an appliance cord for a 7500 watt 240V space heater. Works well. Completely cool to the touch. Easy to handle.

No it did not work for me but now I can’t return it well that’s what Home Depot service desk told me

Cable was advertised as UL listed in the description. The actual cable is NOT UL listed. I ordered this from Homedepot because I needed a UL listed cable. I reported the issue to Homedepot, and stated they would fix the description. I have to return this to a Homedepot store.

Needed to make up a 60' 50 AMP extension cord for my welder. This wire is what is spec'd.

I just received my order for 50 feet of this cable only to find out that it is non-UL / Non-CSA cable. I specifically ordered this cable because the description and spec sheet pointed to by a question both said the cable was UL rated / CSA certified. I could have gotten this anywhere for at least 1/2 the cost if I didn't want these certifications. I am not a happy customer right now. However, to be fair the cable itself was packaged in a professional manner. Each end has a shrink-wrap cap on it and the roll was well-taped and labeled. And it did show up earlier than expected. The poor value comes from the fact that SOOW 8/3 cable can gotten from a variety of sources for at least 1/2 the price. This is way overpriced for non certified cable. Hence the "no" recommendation.
