Poor engineering. Instruction say to only mount into a stud on one side. Only secures to 2 studs if the center of the shelf is exactly between 2 wall studs. Most of the mounting holes on the bracket are not some multitude of 16” apart so forget mounting the support bracket into two studs. The shelf is 48” wide and the bracket is only 24” wide but is recessed into a 34.5” wide track in the back of the shelf...they could have easily made the bracket 33” wide with holes every 16” to ensure you can at least center it and secure it to at least 2 studs to provide more wall alignment options. mounting into drywall only is risky in earthquake regions and if it’s only anchored into 1 study, I don’t want it to become a giant pendulum when the drywall anchors fail during the next earthquake.

Product was just as described and as I wanted. Ideally suited for the music equipment resting on it.

Looks good, easy to install could be a little sturdier. But would buy again.

They went up fairly easy and look really nice.

I bought these in black before but decided to try the brown this time. They are nice looking & easy to install. But they are not heavy duty shelves & the brown ones have more of a lean than the black shelves. So don’t expect to have books & heavier items on these shelves.

Perfect little shelf for bedside table in guest room where there wasn't enough space for a nightstand. Easy installation.

Install was straightforward as long as you pay attention. Strong shelf...attractive and practical.

Product came damaged. Also we thought it was wood or a wood composite. Turned out to be metal.

The shelf was easy to install and served its purpose of a less cluttered wall.

Beautiful product, easy install, just what I wanted. Perfect for bookshelf speaker or decor accents, etc. Dark wood grain looks great in our historic home.

Online picture was not at all representative of the color. I had to return it.

Although I wish I could have the shelves in 12" wide, the floating shelves look very nice & serve my purpose quite well.

Looks s little cheap. But for this price that's expected.

Look great and pretty strong. We had to use different wall anchors than what was supplied as they were too flimsy and just pushed into the wall when you tried to tighten the screws down. Part of it was that my walls are older and a little brittle. Once we got the better anchors (used the large white screw type for drywall), they went up easily, are firm and look awesome!

I read all the negative reviews before purchasing, but decided to get them anyway because everything I had looked at before on other websites were either way over my budget or was not the right color. I figured if I didn't like them I could easily return them at the local HD store. The two shelves were delivered very quickly and with no defects. They were super easy to install, so I didn't understand the previous review about the plastic anchors; apparently, the hole was drilled to big and the plastic anchor went through the wall. I had no problem installing the shelves and it took me less than an hour to do it. I'm a perfectionist, so it probably took me longer than the average person. The shelves look classy even though they are not expensive. If you're looking for a real wood look, well, you probably need to pay the price and get better ones. These are good shelves and they look nice. If you think people will be inspecting them up close and personal when they come over, then you don't want these. I will be getting more of these shelves, and I would definitely recommend them.

These shelves will have to go with the house....we will never hang them again. The concept is good, but if the materials used (meaning screws, plastic inserts) are cheap then you have problems. That is what happened in our case. We did the measuring, leveling marking the night before. Today, we started at 11 AM and it is now 2PM and still not finished. Problems were : got the plastic inserts in, but when putting the bracket up, inserting the screws, one of the inserts went right on into the wall, no screw at that point had to use our own plastic inserts with different screw, so we don't know how much weight each shelf will hold. That was just the first shelf. Second shelf, different problem: got the shelf onto the bracket but when time to insert the short screw that prevents the shelf from sliding off bracket, apparently the holes didn't match up so the screw would not go in all the way....we had the screw hanging down 3/4 of the screw. The only possible reason was misalignment of screw holes on bracket pole and shelf. Very frustrating!! I'm ranking this very low because even though the shelf and bracket are sturdy...if they are not precise on alignment that in my opinion ruins the whole thing...anytime you have to improvise and substitute, that does not make for good rating. They were $39.99 each, I used two...value had they worked properly would be excellent... On a lighter note: now that they are up I like the look, it is exactly as expected. However, I can't recommend them due to difficulty of installation. Again, if I should move...wouldn't take them.

This shelf was a perfect match for my use in the office because it is floating and no brackets needed and looks clean and modern, It was very easy to install with few tools needed.

Bought this online and picked it up for free at the store. Unfortunately, I did not open the package and look at it until I got home. The color is not "espresso" which should be a brown coffee color. Instead the color is more like dried blood. Decidedly red and not at all reminiscent of coffee. BEWARE! The pic online does not represent the red color at all, nor does the NAMING of this product. Too bad I have to box it up and drive back to the store to return it. What a waste of time/money/effort. Very disappointed.

We bought two shelves; problems with each: Shelf #1: Upon screwing the brackets into the wall, one of the screw heads broke off. Now there's a screw with no head in an anchor in the wall, holding nothing. Since the instructions indicate that only one screw on each side must be anchored, and we are putting much less weight than the shelf's 30lb limit, we attached the shelf to the bracket anyway. It seems to be holding. Shelf #2: At least one screw head stripped while installing it. Luckily, this happened before it was all the way in and we could use pliers to get it out. We replaced it with another screw (they did include extras, so maybe they know this is an issue). Once fully attached, we realized something was misaligned in the bracket and/or the shelf because the shelf was wobbly. We decided to remove it and start again. However, the screws holding the shelf to the bracket would not unscrew! The heads weren't stripped, we're guessing the threads are. They turn but do not unscrew. A significant time spent trying different removal techniques (superglue on screwdriver, different size tools, etc.) yielded no success. We now have a wobbly shelf we cannot remove from our wall. We think our only recourse at this point is to cut the shelf with a saw and break it off in pieces. Then remove the bracket (if those screws come out), patch the wall and try again with another brand. Hopefully it will cover the mess this fiasco will leave on our wall.
