Have only had light for 2-wks but it has worked well. Simple installion - stick light and solar panel in ground; adjust light as needed and panel for best sun angle; and connect wires. Ensure on-off switch on bottom of solar panel is in off position.

We are very pleased our solar landscape spotlight. It illuminates our tree and patio/garden area all night. I will buy another for my huge cactus in our front yard.

This is an excellent product, with a flaw. You will get great light all night long when placed in the southern exposure. I have had this for a year now. The solar panel lens clouded over so I cleaned it with a scrub pad and lime scale remover product. I live in sunny South Carolina. I then sealed it with clear coat. It only lasted two weeks before clouding up again. So now the light being emitted is dimmer. I switched to this from low voltage but I was hoping for it to last at least 3 yrs. You must keep your receipt OR the credit card # you charged it to. When you call the Hampton help line 855-434-2678 they will answer Home Depot because it is exclusively their product. They can not deal in replacement parts so they can look up the charge and email you a receipt to take to the store so you can get a replacement. I guess I may be doing this every year. The battery is fine. The light will last forever.

1. First one came with discharged batteries (2 mA according to multimeter). Would not charge so exchanged item and kept batteries for my troubles. (cost is approx. $5 each). My way of getting back at "the man", lol. 2. Second item came with batteries almost fully charged (9 mA on multimeter). Charged both sets of batteries on a sunny day to 10 mA. 3. Mounted solar panel on roof aimed at southern exposure at approx. 45 degree angle using construction glue. 25' cord comes in handy especially if light is mounted on northern exposure where my Flag is. 4. Light is good for at least 12 hours if previous day is at least partly sunny and solar panel is pointed at southern sky and not in shade. I'm in Chicago area and at 6 a.m. light was still burning brightly. 5. Mounted light to gutter using zip-ties by drilling 2 small holes on top of gutter. I suggest using stainless steel ties . This is the best product I've found for my needs.

We are extremely pleased with our purchase of this Hampton Bay Outdoor Spotlight! With a little ingenuity I was able to mount the solar panel on the gable end. Then I mounted the spotlight 25' away over our steps and entrance off the garage. Using the 25' supplied cable, I connected the spotlight to the solar panel. Now I have a wonderful light to illuminate our steps and door. No more stumbling around in the dark and fumbling around trying to get the right key in the door. The light comes on at dusk and most of the time is still on at dawn. Please realize that is with the short, mostly cloudy winter days, and long winter nights. The description states that these will last 6 hours per charge. Mine lasts 12 plus hours most of the time. We couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. I have attached pictures of my installation.

Well-made, easy to assemble, and really like the length of the cord which allows for a variety of placements. I thought the light might be a little brighter. It stays lit all night on about 6 hours of sunlight.

I bought this solar spotlight for a pygmy date palm I have in the corner of my backyard. This spotlight is on the pricey side but well worth it. The spotlight is mainly metal construction. The solar panel is large and sturdy. You can attach the panel directly to the top of the spotlight or you can locate it somewhere else using the long cable. I attached it to the top. The light comes on at dusk. I've been awake as late as 3 a.m. and it is still shining bright. Again, it's expensive but the light output is excellent.

Loved the lights for our flag pole. Worked for 2 months and now the lights stay on all day and not at night. Pretty expressive light to only work for two months.

Nice having 6 foot cord between light and solar panel...adds flexibility about where to put light and maximize solar panel.

These are pretty sweet and seem solidly constructed. The main light housing is metal; the stakes and solar panel housing are sturdy plastic. The lights are surprisingly bright (for solar), but not obnoxious, just barely reaching the canopy of our large ash tree, about 30 feet up. The solar panels are slightly larger than I expected, but it's probably a good thing for soaking up the rays. I love that you can either attach the panel to the light itself, or optionally attach the cord and place the panel somewhere nearby with better light. Excited to see how these hold up over the summers to come!

Item did not work. Battery was corroded and leaking.

We bought this light a few weeks ago to use for our flag pole and it works perfectly. It is bright enough that you can see the flags at night. It met our expectations.

Easy to set up, the long cord allows you to position the charger in an optimum location, and the lights stay on all night. We love them and get compliments from all our neighbors, who are now buying their own.

The light was easy to mount and I really like the fact that it isn’t motion activated but comes on at dark and shuts down after 6 hours.

Does not put out enough light

It never worked. Still have receipt but lost the packaging. Will try to return.

I love this thing! 39$ is a little high but, works really good!
