  • Scotts Snap Pac
  • May 07, 2013
  • Verified Purchase & Recommended Product

I've had the Snap-Pac since it came out and I really like the no mess factor. In the past I've had a lawn service, however, they always come up short. In addittion; it comes down to the fact that I love being in my yard. We take enjoyment in our yard and so we can take the credit for how it looks. We gave up on all the external services; all the Scotts Snap Pac products have done well for our yard. I've treated my yard this year and it looks great. Good Luck; Try it, you'll like it! Bruce

I bought this product and used it on my lawn and I see the differences. My lawn is greener and healthier. The only thing that the fertilizer does not protect against is dandilions. I recommend this.

Quantity of product is limited, meaning I'll need 2 packs of product to complete my average size lawn. This makes the product quite expensive. Product works well, the usual Scotts quality.

The Snap line of fertilizer is sooo easy! It's a little more expensive than regular lawn care, but you're done in half the time. Also the wheels are large enough that pushing is effortless. If you are smart, when the bag is empty, you can cut it at the top and add more product from a more econmical large bag. Still, it's a great choice. The machine itself is pretty light. The "edge guard" feature is handy so you can avoid spreading product on the street or driveway.

The bad thing about it is that it really just doesn't cover 4000 sq. ft. I am also disappointed that is doesn't green up the grass as well as the others I have used. But easy to use with the device and I like it, just want it to cover more and green up a lot more!

  • Exactly what I was looking for

I bought this product, after watching its catchy commercial; but really it really does work well. you need the cart that works with these bags which is only 29.99, very comparable to other carts that are out there. But essentially all you do is buy the bag, turn the lever from one end to the other, and off you go spreading fertilizer without cutting a hole into the bag or anything, and when you are done, you just turn the lever and the bag closes itself, so I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for something that is good price and easy to use, with little to no mess afterwards... awesome idea

  • Better than using a lawn service

Using this product is as easy as it looks on TV! Drop the bag in, lock the bag in, and push! The edge protector works very well in keeping the fertilizer where you want it to go. The bags reads that the bag covers 4,000 sq ft. Not quite. Our front and back yards total 4000 sq ft. and I need to use two bags. Still, it is WAY LESS expensive than using a lawn service. Plus, I don't have fertilizer all over my sidewalk and driveway.

Pros Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective Cons didoesn't quite cover 4000 sq ft.

For convenience you can't beat it. It doesn't spray out so uncontrollably all over the driveway, you can set it to not spray on the one side, It doesn't clump the way my old one did, and the pellets don't get wet so you can use it in the rain. I like the fact that it is steady and even, I used to get a huge sudden charge of pellets at the beginning, enough to kill the lawn with my older system. The bags are smaller for an old lady like me to handle. I haven't compared price I am sure it costs a bit more, but the convenience makes it worth it to me.

Pros Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective Cons a bit more expensive
