The toaster takes a long time to toast bread or muffins and the muffin comes out hard, first toaster I've ever had that operates in this manner.

Sides of toaster do not get hot, toasts bread evenly, wide slots prevent food from getting stuck. I would recommend this product.

The features and capabilities of this toaster are somewhat undermined by its performance. it worked o.k, but seemed a bit sluggish. it took two and a half minutes to not toast an english muffin. bread was about two minutes for one side, and no. I didnt have it on "bagel" setting. I timed this against another new two slice toaster after my gf kept complaining about this one. im keeping it but we currently use the two slice.

This toaster is high quality and works great. The only problem I had was when I first used it and it smelt like the electrical wiring was burning. I contacted Hamilton Beach and they told me this was normal for the first couple of uses and that the smell would go away. Happily it has and I have only good things to say about this toaster.

everything is exactly what we wanted and more!!! shipping was timely, store clerk helpful but wasn't sure if it was in store. he had to go and find it because it was not loaded in his store computer.
