This is a great connector for power supply projects, and at a great price. I use 4 connectors in every landscape lighting controller I build. See picture.

I used these to install several low voltage exterior landscape lights in order to "brighten up our curb appeal and add some quality aesthetics." In other words, because my wife told me that she wanted low voltage exterior landscape lights installed. These work wonderfully, they are worth every penny. Several of my friends have just used regular connectors fastened over with electrical tape and they wonder why their wives are unhappy and their houses are unlit. I've never had any issues with these--my house is always lit even if its raining, sleeting, or snowing. I believe these play a huge role. Sure they are a bit more expensive than regular connectors, but they are well built for the elements and will last a lifetime.

I like this product. I buy it in several sizes and use them on my sprinkler valves and on low voltage lighting.
I like the silicone inside as it helps keep out the moisture. As a secondary barrier to prevent water from entering the connection on connectors laying in flower beds where irrigation is being used. I buy the flexible duct seal from the same store. The duct seal stays soft and plyable. I add some duct seal around the conductors at the end of the connector and then cover with scotch 88. This has been working well for me. With many locations having two number 12 landscape wires and the smaller wire going to the light, I add the duct seal between each conductor and build a water stop around all three conductors. When folding the conductors and placing them under a landscape pin/staple, I believe this helps keep the water out of the connection.

Most helpful employees
The product did exactly what I needed it to do, but it was the employees in the electrical department, who guided me to the right products, that deserve recognition. I installed outdoor low voltage path lights for the very first time. I did the job entirely on my own, but that would not have been possible if the expert employees at Home Depot had not steered me to the correct products that I needed to complete the job. Thank you, Home Depot- mostly at your Indian Bend location in Scottsdale but I find them friendly and very helpful at whatever I store I go to!

Works well connecting the old in ground wire to new wire for a better connection with the clips of the new replacement landscaping lights. I’m glad the Home Depot associates recommended these wire connectors with grease. I can see some oil squeezed out giving the assurance of a little protection from exposures to moistures.

This is a new product and works great although very expensive for a wire nut. I am replacing some landscape lighting and have wires which will be buried underground and will be spliced but exposed. The internal gel will seal the wire and keep everything from corroding and keep bugs and moisture from getting inside.
You must be careful and select the correct size - based on how many wires you are using.
I had to go back and get the next size larger for multiple wires.

Connecting irrigation wires requires good protection from all moisture. I've used these for years and they work well. they keep the copper from corroding, causing poor connections. Standard wire nuts will never last long, I say this as a retired master electrician.

The smallest size worked perfectly for me. I cut a 7 conductor sprinkler control cable while trenching. I made 14 splices using the wire connectors. Sprinklers are back in operstion.
