Bought this to sharpen some old garden shears. Worked very well and easy to use. Have not had it for a long time but I expect it will continue to work and the shears were as sharp as I would want them to be. The tool is easy to work with.

This is a light, small, fairly inexpensive sharpening tool with two sides—one for sharpening and the other for finishing. A big plus is that the tool folds up into a plastic case. This sharpener is good for knives and small garden tool blades. Bigger blades, like lawnmower, edger, loppers, etc., need more sharpening power.

Using the basic sharpeners didn't get the job done on some recently purchased knives which had thicker blades than normal. Recommended by a friend I purchased this one. Course side to get the angle you desire & fine side to get it smooth & sharp! Highly recommended.

I have very recently begun to sharpen my own knives, chisels, and planes. I like the portability of this sharpener (small, lightweight) and simplicity of use (don’t really need water (except to rinse off metal particles) or oil). I also really like that it is made in USA!

It actually worked a lot better sharpening the tools that needed to be sharpened. I had bought a few other sharpening tools similar in idea but not in comparison of actually getting the job done. I think it's awesome!

The kitchen knives are a little better. I like the compact design but not completely satisfied with the outcome.

As knife dressing stone it is very very good puts that final edge on my knives!

It’s ok. I prefer wet stones better. But this can put a quick edge on your blades.
