Well built , easy to install shelves

I have purchased 3 of these. 2 black and 1 blue online at different times. I must say if you are thinking of purchasing one please do so no, the prices changes almost weekly I have noticed. They are well wrapped and packaged for shipping. When I unwrapped the blue one there was a scuff or blemish on the left door and the left door is hung crooked. I did not want to deal with the hassle of loading it back up on the truck, driving to the store and having to wait for a new one. The shelfs are adjustable and are deep for lots of storage. I use one for toys, office and I have no pantry for the kitchen so I was happy to set this up and have my counters cleared of food pile ups. Over time the handles have loosened up but a few seconds with the screw driver and it tightened back up. Like I said I purchased 3 and all the keys are different. If I need anymore I will wait some time for the price to go back down.

My review is consistent with most of the less then stellar reviews on this product as far as the paint job goes, which is a follows: 1. The paint job is abysmal (see photos)! If this item was truly "made in USA" they should be ashamed of this awful paint job. What you cannot see in the photos is how thin and uneven the coat of paint is. Not sure how this got past quality control. I could have attached many more photos as pretty much the entire border of the insides of both doors look like this. 2. The tape that they use to attach the bag of parts to the locking assembly is permanent glue tape, meaning that it is a "bear" to remove from the assembly pole in this instance (see photo, ironically the mess left behind by the tape is to the right of the "made in the USA" sticker, which is not a good look for us quality wise). The glue is so strong that the tape came off in tiny pieces, which was totally avoidable if they simply used "removable tape". And yes, I know that I can remove the residue with alcohol or goop-off, but why should I have the spend the time to do so when this is totally avoidable. This cabinet serves its intended purpose, otherwise I would have rated it lower than 3-stars. However where it is located in a garage in FL, I can see rust being a problem in the not-too-distant future as a direct result of the poor paint job.

I bought four of these cabinets. I also have purchased several of the Husky cabinets from Home Depot. I selected the Sandusky cabinets because of the number of shelves provided and the ability to place them wherever you want inside the cabinet. Overall I like the Husky cabinets but you are limited in the shelf placement because of the way the cut the bracket slots. Also, the Husky cabinets only give you three shelves per unit. You can buy additional shelves for them but you have to buy a two-pack and getting five shelves into the Husky cabinets really limits the space on each shelf. Anyway, the Sandusky cabinets come pre-assembled so picking them up from Home Depot took two trips with my 5' x 8' trailer. Unfortunately Home Depot only offered delivery to the store and not to my house. All four cabinets arrived damage free. The Sandusky cabinets have no feet which I decided I did not like. To raise them off the garage floor I built some stands out of 2x4's. Once I had the cabinets on the stands I assembled the door lock system and installed the locking door handles. There were no instructions with the cabinets so "googled" "how to install handles on Sandusky steel cabinets. The instructions were available and the handle/locking mechanism installation was simple. You can install the door handle itself first and then install the locking rods. To install the metal locking clip I used a deep-set socket and socket extension. Then I put in the shelves. With the Sandusky shelves you can install them wherever you want inside the cabinet. One thing to note, do not completely secure the cabinets to the wall until you have installed the shelves. If you secure the cabinets tightly to the wall you will not be able to install the back panel shelf brackets. Overall I like these cabinets. The steel does not appear to be as thick as the Husky cabinets. Also, they are not as rigid as the Husky cabinets. I also wish they had feet so they could be kept off the garage floor. I do like the completely adjustable shelves and five shelves really improves the storage capacity.

Is perfect for any storage

The instructions suck for the lock mechanism or whatever it is. The nut does not even go on the door thing. They need to make a video for people cause I can't figure this out

It came in a box. Assembly is basically limited to arranging the shelves which are plenty in number. Its not hugely strudy but also not flimsy. It all depends on what you are using it for. I needed an elegant looking storage to store my bicycle accessories and some sports items. Nonheavy duty stuff. Shelves may not bear too much weight. There were no dents on my item, i see many reviewers have been complaing of dents. I think ship to store is the way to go. That way you can inspect it before bringing it home

This Sandusky 72x36x18 inch steel cabinet is just what I needed for storing cutting tools and measuring equipment used with my milling machine. The cabinet has 5 easily adjustable shelves that allowed me to position the shelves perfectly for my needs. The door has a lock to keep my equipment secure.The cabinet is well built and sturdy and comes with a very nice finish. The cabinet was received with no bent parts and no blemishes in the finish. I'm very happy with this cabinet and will purchase another one that I will use in a different location.

Cabinet arrived outside in the street. Not delivered to the apartment. Doors on the cabinet fall off when fully opened. Hinges aren’t secure, and when the door is fully open it falls off.

Exactly what we were looking for. Great quality and flexibility. Lots of shelves that can be configured at any height. Solid construction. The black version shows fingerprints fairly easily so perhaps grey might be a better option if that is a concern.

Very well made cabinet. Has five adjustable shelves. Only assembly is the lock mechanism and place the shelves. Best packing I have ever seen, everything is padded then a heavy top and bottom protector are installed it's wrapped in clear plastic and then put in a box.

Well made and well packaged, this cabinet with its adjustable shelving is holding more than I dreamed it would. I'm very pleased with its sturdy construction.

Very spacious, nice color. It wasn't heavy to move, but cumbersome. Be careful so it doesn't dent when you move it around and keep it in the packaging until you have it close to where it will be placed. I am happy with the cabinet and would buy it again.

I love my new cabinet. It is just perfect for my kitchen corner. It is a great storage for all my baking stuff. It was so easy to assemble. I had to call Sandusky with a question. The service representative was very nice and answered my question in just a few minutes. Thank you Sandusky!

Solid construction, good door mechanism, assembly instructions could be better but it's simple enough to figure out. Good product. Fits in the back of a Prius with the back seats down if you unbox it at the store and bungee the tailgate.

I ordered two of these cabinets. They arrived earlier than expected, boxed and wrapped on a pallet. Upon unwrapping the units were unblemished. Only assembly required was to set up the shelves and install the door mechanism. One problem is that the push on nut is a bear to get onto the handle shaft. I am very pleased with the appearance and functionality of the units.

I bought three of these Cabinets Classic Series 72" H x 36" W x 18" D- I also purchased 3 Aftermarket dolly's that fit under them. The Cabinets are made Tough! I was actually surprised how nice they are. I have no clutter laying around in my garage now! I HAD SOME OLD STICKERS LAYING AROUND AND I PUT THEM ON THE CABINETS! Nobody's ever going to see them but it made me happy just to personalize them like that. Make sure to buy the dolly's- It makes moving them a round a Breeze you guys! These are worth every penny!

Just received the product today. Picked it up in the store fully packaged. While I love the product was disappointed to find it had a bunch of dents and a 1-1/2 inch scratch on the door. The dents aren’t that noticeable.......but the scratch can’t be missed.

They are great! I ordered two of them for our dealerships café supplies (coffee, condiments, cups, etc.). They seem to be very sturdy and I like the color (Dove Gray). We plan on ordering a third cabinet to hold our snacks as well!

I work out of my office but I have a lot of industrial devices and accessories that work with so I needed something that held a lot more weight and wouldn't start flexing or get easily damaged. For the price, I am so happy with this product. It is all welded and the shelves are adjustable. It arrived undamaged and the handle hardware and shelves went together easily. The tropic sand color is a nice change from the typical office gray or white.The biggest challenge was just finding a truck to transport it. It's completely full now and the shelves are holding just fine without bending.

Rusted out in 4 years in an air conditioned room, and Sandusky will not approve the warranty. DO NOT BUY THESE CABINETS!

Just bought 4 of these this month for the garage, really look good in there. I like the fact that they are pre assembled, in fact they are welded which makes them stronger. They are well finished. I looked for cabinets for awhile and finally decided on these as the best value for the price. Had them delivered directly to the house with no problem. Putting the shelves in was a breeze.

Overall a very good product. A few minor irregularities were encountered while installing 4 or 5 of the shelving bracket clips. Some of the slots within the cabinet were blocked or distorted, and required a little bending and clearing to accept the clips. Kudos to the shipping company (AAA Cooper Transportation), as they did their job well by delivering the cabinet intact to the local Home Depot store without damages.

The cabinets fit and finish were very nice and having 5 shelves is very convenient for my storage situation. I had another cabinet of the same dimensions and as you can see by the photo , yours work out very well in matching it.

These cabinets a re 20 gauge vs. 22 gauge of the cheaper ones and it is noticeable. Shipping prebuilt is a time saver and less frustrating. They came wrapped in heavy bubble wrap and I had no damage to the four I purchased. They have 5 compartments and due to the items I put in them, I have 4 shelves left over. For the price, they are great for the garage...heavier than most cabinets but not industrial. I would buy again if needed.

It’s not as well made as I had expected. For it to be labeled “heavy duty” I expected the cabinet to be made of a heavier gauge of steel.
