I'm pleased with the lateral file cabinet that I purchased in January 2019. It looks just as pictured on line, expect it appears to be larger than as pictured which is ok because it is the correct dimensions as stated in the description.

It appeared to have fallen off the truck amd drug to the store. I was refunded but the store is 60 miles one way. So 2 trips wasted and still no file cabinet in the office.

I love the color and just right spaces for my folders. Great product!!!

The lock feels like it could easily break and it doesn’t turn to lock so smoothly. For the price, I would not recommend. Buy for style and something simple? Well…it gets the job done.

It was better than expected. It holds all my files and the drawers just glide in and out. My files had broke down the last lateral cabinet. This cabinet came already together, so there was no hassle to go through. One minor draw back was the leveling screws were painted in place. I don't think it needed leveling .

After purchasing two other file cabinets from other retailers online, I finally ordered this one. The others were returned because they arrived with one or more sides completely bashed in. This one came in perfect condition, and works perfectly for my office. This is a very nice file cabinet.

Just what I needed. Was a little annoyed that the file rails were not included, but all is well

The doors do not open properly

I searched out a company that made file cabinets in the USA. Well I found Sandusky and was a bit disappointed in the quality. I subsequently returned the item and purchased another manufacturers file cabinet that was made in Mexico.

With so much paperwork, this is a great value, saves having several file cabinets and not so high I can't see into it. Holds all my paperwork. Good workmanship.

Overall I am pleased with these cabinets. They seem sturdy and look pretty good in red. That said, there were many small problems that seem to indicate a lack of quality control. I bought 2 identical cabinets. The first cabinet had 2 problems. One of the feet was misaligned in such a way that it was very difficult to turn in order to level the cabinet. Also, the front lip (where the lock is) was pushed out so that when locked the top drawer could be opened an inch or so. I wasn't sure this was a defect until I received the second cabinet. I was able to hammer the lip flush so the drawer cannot be opened enough to see the files once the lock is engaged. The second cabinet arrived a month or two after the first. There were shipping problems that I won't go into here. On this cabinet the interlock is not working so nothing prevents opening both drawers at once. Also, this cabinet uses the same key as the first cabinet. As I said they seem sturdy. I have had them for about 2 months now. The price was right and not many makes offer colors as well as sturdy conbstruction.

I will definitely recommend this file cabinet . It is very sturdy and strong. It comes with a key to lock it, very convenient. I chose black because it goes with all decor. The finish is sleek and smooth. Best of all , I did not have to put it together. It came assembled. It went from the box to the floor. Love it!

Color a beautiful fresh forest green. No problem with the drawers like some previous buyers. Using two cabinets as the base for a table top. Came packed well on 2 pallets, no damage.

Good product. Overall quality is good for the price.

We have yet to be able to use our file cabinet because it arrived without file hanging rails. I contacted Sandusky directly and they sent the parts to the wrong address. If the second request for parts does not come through, we'll have to return the cabinet and go elsewhere.

Have had the file cabinet for several weeks. So far with the drawers filled to about 3/4 capacity, they glide open and shut, flawlessly. The finish on the cabinet is of high quality and it fits right into my office. I am pleased with my purchase. The only down side was that the cross rails for letter size hanging files are not supplied, but must be purchased separately. If the cross rail kit was offered as an extra, at the time of purchase, I would have ordered it at that time and avoided the hassle of tracking down a supplier.......Home Depot does not offer the kit

This unit seems decently constructed, especially given the price point, but I can only give it a "fair" review due to a major flaw. The locking tabs, that are supposed to prevent the drawers from opening when the unit is locked, do not fully retract when the unit is unlocked. This prevents the drawers from fully sliding out even with the unit unlocked. This is extremely annoying and appears to be the result of sloppy construction/alignment. The drawers slide half way out, then I have to use a pen to reach into the sides of the unit and try to push the tab out of the way, to get the drawers to fully open. This usually takes multiple tries. Too bad this flaw ruined an otherwise decent product.

It arrived well packed and in perfect shape. It required no assembly per se but the drawing/instructions were a bit short on one area. It seems to be working very well. Once I got my folders in it, I’ve not used it much. Once I’ve had it longer I might give it a 5. Overall well pleased.

Exactly what I needed (well...I wanted a 3-drawer vertical but way too pricy and hard to find in black) but this is wider and has more room than I expected. This is a 'just right' option for me in terms of price and perfectly fits the space in our office. Staff was great and delivery to store was on time. Happy with this purchase and with the customer service from our Sandusky Home Depot. Thanks!!!
