These are expensive. I bought 2 of them as kits because I could not move or afford factory assembled. These were equipped with electronic locks and were just the exact size I needed. But, it took an unexpected month to get them... (to Hawaii), Home Depot was useless with information when these did not arrive as scheduled for pick up. I ended up calling the contracted shipping company to find out where the darn things were. They finally did show up and I went to the store to pick them up as I had received a text stating that I could come by and use the customer fast pickup. I got there and the order could not be found. The HD associate was able to track them down and they had already been shelved (as stock) - not for pickup. The store people were great in finding and loading the boxes (very heavy) into my Jeep. That's when the true nature of these cabinets reared. The boxes were in great shape, no sign of damage or abuse until I opened the first one. There is enough styrofoam packaging in one box alone to choke a whale - not recyclable. Several of the panels were bent - i thought it was made that way - until I tried to assemble these bent components. They WERE damaged at the factory and the factory packaged and shipped them anyway buried remarkably well under the styrofoam!! This is not 1950 so the quality of the this thin steel (feels like 22 gauge) is so poor, it bends or marks when you lay it down. It will bend easily with your fingers. The instructions are there to guarantee new swear word development and needless to say I didn't assemble the 2nd one the same way. No matter how frustrating it gets, avoid the temptation to hit or kick it. I struggled with the first one for 3 hours trying to fit and hold the bent panels in place; a top hold down clip was missing on one side, the metal is so flimsy it is nearly impossible to line up the component edges. I (and I am sure others of you) have purchased items with "some assembly required" that were better made, easier to assemble AND cost less. The next day I assembled the second one, which was considerably easier because I did it my way and the panels were not factory damaged or bent like the first. My way included screwing the whole thing together with some bracing and self tapping metal screws as I went along. Another reviewer pointed out about how easy it is to force the top and drop the doors to easily break into the cabinet. Once the whole thing is screwed together this all becomes somewhat moot and the sturdiness and security of the cabinet improves dramatically. I would have returned both of these if it were not for the time and trouble to send something like this back for exchange or replacement, so I live with it. I do like the locks and with the strengthening of the whole cabinet with metal screws and bracing these are quite serviceable, they are quite spacious and they do look sturdy and secure to the uninitiated. I expect, a factory assembled (welded and screwed) version of this cabinet would be excellent but, as Received - Junk, after rework - acceptable. Price - out- (expletive deleted) -rageous for what you get. Recommend? No, unless you are willing to rework and void the dopey warranty. Locks are cool!

It's not sturdy enough, the pad lock looks easy to brake off. You can just pop the top lid off to get into it if it's locked. Just snaps together to assemble and snaps off to get inside. Not worth it for the price!!! I would not recommend this at all.

I spend 4 hours for assembling. For your information, I have furniture design BA degree. :) One major issue is its material. it is very thin. you can bent parts with your bare hands. because of that, you can not get perfect condition product anyway. Also. auto locking system is useless, even it works. When I got the product it already not functional. Structure and material wise, It is impossible to get what you see on the web. If you need sturdy cabinet, DON'T WASTE your money. Thank you.

I have had this cabinet for 3 years now and will be ordering another brand any day now. It was ok the first couple of weeks but it is so flimsy and poorly made. People figured out even though its locked you just lift the top and it opens right up. Also the doors are constantly falling off the two tiny pins holding them in place. Then it takes two people to put the door back in place. Way too much aggravation to bother with. Find something with a solid hinge on the doors.

purchased tow of them for our fire department for storage. Flimsy and collapsed after being put together per directions. U use clips to put them together. Now have to put self tapping screws in, bolt the two cabinets together and secure them both to the concrete block wall in order to use them. Too much of a hassle to pack them up and return them.

It took longer to get the item due to it being put on back order after I purchased it, however customer service was very helpful in letting me know what was going on.

The product was at first back ordered, but was not noted on the website. So it took nearly a month longer to arrive. After it did arrive, the product itself arrived in good shape. Assembling instructions are a little lacking though, and one does have to take care, as the individual panel lack any sort or rigidity. It would not take a lot of force to either bend or crease a part out of spec. Some fine tuning of the tabs are necessary to follow the instructions, and the fitment of the doors to truly latch. The keypad desperately needs to be angled upwards, so that I do not have to stoop over to see what I am inputting. The question to be answered is would I have purchased this if I had seen this in the store? The answer, maybe on clearance. I only reccomend this if there are no other alternatives, which I could not find

Like several of the other reviewers, i had some damage on my cabinet when it arrived. The box clearly states do not ship laying flat, yet it was shipped flat on a pallet and looked like it got banged around quite a bit. Anyways, the shelves appear to be able to hold quite a bit of weight as advertised, but the outside shell is so flimsy if you don't perfectly balance the weight, the cabinet will actual sag to one side or the other. Makes it impossible to clsoe the door. But for the money, its better than a lot of the other choices out there.

I bought three of these cabinets to replace three 72"Hx30Wx18D cabinets that were stuffed. I was able to fit everything that was in the three smaller cabs into 1.5 of these new ones! The finish on the metal is nice and the cabinets look great side by side. The electronic keypads are a nice "surface" security feature but they are not going to keep some one out if they really want to get in.
