We bought this refrigerator because of the room it provided, the middle drawer, and the external water/ice. Overall the unit works great, with the exception of the ice maker. The ice maker freezes up and ices over about once a month, and will stop making ice. Additionally, the buildup causes water to drip from the ice dispensing port. I am glad we purchased the Home Depot extended warranty because they have been out 4 times to fix it, and not thing works. We are now moving through the lemon process. If it were not for the failing ice maker, this would be a great unit.

This refrigerator has a major design flaw in that the doors do NOT open far enough to give good access to the bins in the refrigerator. Although the bins are 16 inches deep, they only open 7 1/2 inches making it VERY difficult to get things in and out. In order to make maximum use of the bins you have to remove items at the front to get to the items in the back of the bins. In addition, if anything is ever spilled in the fridge, you CANNOT remove the bins to clean up without removing the doors to the refrigerator!!! In addition, the bars under the shelves limit the height of items you can put on them. I have to always keep the top shelf on the left raised in order to fit everything in that I want.

We went from having 2 refrigerators to one, so we got the 31 cubic foot Samsung. We love it. There is so much room and we like the middle drawer also. We were able to put our food in it right away since it cooled very quickly. We give a Big thumbs up to the refrigerator.

Only have had it for 2 weeks but so far so good. Looks good. Inside lighting is great. All things are appropriately cold including milk in the door bins which I had read a negative review about. Have no real idea about the energy efficiency. The width is larger than specified if not measuring right at the top or bottom. It actually bulges out. This caused a problem in my kitchen because it was right against a partial wall with a tile backsplash and a granite counter top. I ended up having to remove a layer of drywall and had to have about 1/2 inch cut from the tile and granite--kind of a pain. Happier with the refrigerator now that it fits. Door bins are great for larger cartons with lids which can be tilted to get them in and out but not good for open pitchers or pitchers with looser fitting lids which really cannot be tilted. The shelf configurations aren't ideal when trying to use the aforementioned large pitchers. You totally lose a large amount of shelf space when you fold them up. It seems there should be an option to put the upper shelf to a higher level than what is available. Will be able to make adjustments though.
