Great post, made out of heavy aluminum. No 4x4 needed, installed it in concrete per the instructions. It is solid! Also ordered the 4800 series rural mailbox, great combination.

Nice quality post. The finish was exactly what I needed. Very reasonably priced & delivery was on time. No clearance issue fitting my mail box on it since mine had a mounting plate on on the bottom of the box. Install was simple.

Beautiful mailbox and very easy to install!!

Very strong and solid material. I had one problem where a nut couldn't be tightened into the top plate, but they quickly sent me a replacement part after I contacted customer service. I wasn't able to reuse my existing mailbox on top, and I bought a ~$40 one in store at Home Depot, and that one couldn't be attached either.

I have mixed feelings about the Victorian mailbox post. The post is thick walled aluminum very sturdy. The Victorian brace is also sturdy. The plate the mailbox sits on is a little flimsy but when mounted on the post and brace it is sturdy enough. The powder coating is about the cheapest I've seen. It looks, feels and is about as thin as spray paint. It also scratches off easily. The first post I received had two spots with no paint. The brace had two spots the paint did not adhere to. The spots were down to the bare aluminum. Home Depot returned the post and picked it up from my house with no charge via UPS. The second post I received had one small spot on the post but not down to the metal. The shelf the mailbox sits on had a few spots down to the aluminum. I used Rustoleum spray paint to touch these spots with a Q-tip. The two nuts that screw onto the studs on the plate to attach the brace would not screw on. Seemed like the threads on the stud and nuts were not compatible. Luckily I had a tap and die set and was able to run a die over the studs to clean the powder coating off the threads and put a thin coat of Rustoleum paint on the threads. The powder coating on the threads would not allow the nut to engage in the threads. For what I paid for this post, I don't think it is worth it. I shouldn't have to return a post or touch up the paint finish or clean threads. I'd only recommend this product if you can touch up spots and have a way to clean the threads.

Solid construction and well packed for transit. Scrollwork adds finesse to design.

I am really pleased with the Salisbury industries Victorian in ground mailbox post.

Very happy with this mailbox stand. Very solid and looks great.

You can tell the high quality gauge as soon as you hold the post. Looks great and is very solid after installing in the ground. Only problem is the mount plate is not universal so I had to drill new holes in my mailbox but that was done easily enough and the complete product goes well together.

We assembled the post and it looks great. Would definitely recommend this aluminum mailbox post.
