It is a bit shorter than the ‘standard’ height for a street mailbox. It is very sturdy and well made.

Satisfied customer. Recently I purchase Salsbury Roadside Mailbox. My husband (he is a comercial architect and very familiar with this brand. He asked me to go with Salsbury) and I are very, very happy with our decision. The mailbox has good security against mail theft. The slot for incoming mail has a wide piece of metal that makes it difficult for a person to put his/her hand inside this mailbox. The construction is solid, with a nice finish. The mailbox was surface mounted. We only had to buy a hammer drill because our standard drill was weak for the concrete. Our neighbors liked the mailbox and so our post carrier. Now my husband's large architectural magazines fit in the mailbox without any problem. In all, a great purchase.Did I mention that the pedestal has round edges instead of sharp edges? What a difference! Satisfied customer in Thousand Oaks. I ordered the mailbox at The Home Depot in Thousand Oaks. Delivery was very fast. Thanks.

Clear instructions for installation even for a novice like me. The hardest part was digging the hole!

Product showed up ahead of schedule. It was delivered without the mounting hardware as the instructions said. This caused me to go to my local hardware store to pickup mounting bolts.
