Well built and easy to install. I like the separate outgoing mail shelf and the security this design provides. It is a stout design, but we bought this unit to replace the same make and model after our previous box was wiped out by a snowplow, so it's tough, but not that tough!

I'm very pleased with this mailbox. I moved to a rural area, and the mailboxes aren't visible from some of the houses, so security is important. Everyone else had a Gator mailbox (I think that's what they're called), but mine was a rickety, falling down thing. The kind of mailbox my neighbors have would have cost me about $600, and they are well-designed for function, but kind of homely. I chose this one because it had the security features I wanted, a unique appearance with the copper finish, a fair price, and is made in USA. I had to call the manufacturer to find that out, and sure enough, right up the road in Los Angeles. When it arrived the color of the powder coating was a bit darker than I had expected, but it looked great and felt sturdy. I also bought the matching post. One of my neighbors installed it for me, so I don't know how difficult it was, but he didn't complain. The bracket from the previous box was cemented in, so he did need to saw the post to the right height and attach it to that bracket. It feels great to know that my mail is locked up safely if I don't feel like picking it up every day. I'd been looking for something a little unusual, to help people visiting for the first time find my house, and the copper color made this one stand out. Even though it doesn't match my neighbor's boxes, they have all complimented me on it and are happy with the way it looks. The only shortcoming is that the opening for the mail carrier to deposit the mail into the vault section is a little small. It can accept all manner of magazines, padded envelopes, and even small boxes, but I did once receive a prescription refill in a larger vial that wouldn't fit through that slot. Still, I think the opening needs to be small, so no scoundrels can reach their arm in and steal my Pottery Barn catalog or whatever :-). The mail carrier drove that package up to the house, and it was no big deal. If you get 90-day prescriptions or other slightly larger items on a regular basis and want a secure mailbox, you might want to check around on how other models compare in that aspect. For me, the benefits of this one far outweigh that one slight hiccup. Overall, it was great to find a product I could be so happy about for so many reasons.

The mailboxes are fine, but the quality and design has declined over the years. I purchased one several years ago and the metal was significantly thicker and the positioning of the incoming and outgoing slots was more efficient. Home Depot is the best place to purchase the mailbox. Best price and free shipping when I ordered (August 2020)

Incoming letter slot thin and would not allow small packages like our previous locking mailbox. We made modifications and it now works for us.

Modern, locking mailbox. As described.

Attractive and practical design, great quality materials and worksmanship. I would have preferred the design allow for packages of at least 2 inches thick in the incoming slot, but overall a great product.

We have this box. It was very easily broken into. The thief slipped a bar of some sort into the top of the door opening and easily pried it open, bending the metal latch. This box will only keep the honest people out.

The size is perfect! I am very pleased to have my mail secure after delivery. There are times when I am not home during delivery hours so it's good to know no one can get into my mailbox but me.

the color was totally dark - almost a dark brown not like the picture at all. really sucked cuz it doesnt match now.

The product description is accurate, and the color is true. With the addition of a piece of a 1 x 6 wooden board, I was able to install this mailbox to a 4 x 4 post without many problems. The mailbox came with four keys; any of those four keys will open both doors of the mailbox.

Strong and quality product. If I am away no one knows that the mail is not being collected everyday and I don't have to rely on others to pick up the mail.

Since we did not order the metal post from the company, we did need to purchase a separate mount for our existing post and luckily, HD had one in the store. Container is well made and of good quality finish. The position of the incoming/outgoing mail slots is a little concerning as our mail carrier is constantly placing our mail in the top slot (which is labeled outgoing mail) thereby placing the contents at risk for theft. Security is the exact reason we purchased this box, and the USPO doesn’t seem to care. A conversation with the regular carrier has not changed their actions. We are going to place a cover over the top slot to try and prevent this from happening further. Wonderful looking design until you try placing it into service. Would recommend the product only if you can train the mail carrier to use the incoming mail slot, otherwise a complete waste of a lock...

the mail box was up in about 10min's what more can I say , its a mail box and it work's very nice for us.

I looked at many roadside rear opening boxes before choosing this one because if the features and size for the price. This is a nice roadside or through the fence box. I installed it through the fence on my own post. The key locks work great and after many rains it has been rain tight. The box is powder coated and very though it is. All the mail has fit trough the slot including many magazines. The small priority box will fit through the slot. I would recommend this box which has the same features as boxes costing $100 more.

Very sturdy box, easy to install and does the job of securing your mail. The locks are a little on the cheap side and don't seem to work perfectly every time. Not a very attractive box but the catalog pictures were very accurate.
