This bar stool comes completely assembled and wrapped in a foam blanket to protect it. It is painted with an ivory paint, then it is chipped and sanded in places. I am assuming that was to try to give it an antique look. I was expecting the paint finish to be ivory white, but not 'antiqued' white. I would have liked to see this mentioned in the description. The faux antique finish on this bar stool does not remind me of natural aging. I do like the style and the weight of the stool. It sits solidly on the floor. The back metal brace is impressive, but it is not very comfortable for my back. The legs have plastic buttons on the bottoms. The seat is upholstered with woven rattan strips. It looks nice, but I wouldn't let anyone sit on it while wearing clothing that they did not want damaged by the multiple splinters of wood that stick out of the seat. I will probably purchase a chair pad or try to remove the seat to re-upholster it.

Nice chairs, just didnt give 5 stars, as the Rattan in some places stick out and can get caught on clothes.

No assembly. Added furniture pad to the legs and put them to use. They look great in my kitchen. I'll probably add chair pads as the woven seat is prickly at times.

The Eleanor bar stool was ready to sit on right out of the box. I was very happy about that. It is antique white with a black metal cross back and a medium brown colored rattan seat. In my opinion it is suitable for a variety of decorating themes with the exception of the heavy dark Tuscan look. It looks great at my bar in my kitchen, which has a contemporary white dinette set.It complements it very well.I am very happy with it.
