I've only had this rug pad down for a couple of months, but it appears to be of excellent quality. It is thick and gives a substantial cushion between the jute backing of my area rug and the red oak flooring beneath, as well as keeping the area rug snugly in place. My wood floors are finished with an oil based polyurethane, and the rug pad does not appear to stick to the wood floor at this point.

The home furnishings brandname Safavieh made this water resistant, slip proof, rug pad for outdoor use. I absolutely love everything about Safavieh. They have always maintained high standards and expert craftmanship. When I saw they made a rug pad for outdoor use, I was very excited. The rug pad compliments their line of gorgeous outdoor rugs, but it may be used indoors, too. Actually, I may get another one for the kitchen area, because that's where spills are likely to occur. What I first noticed about the pad was it's ability to repeal water away from the rug. The mesh pad provides a barrier between the flooring and rug, which allows enough air circulation to keep the rug from retaining water. The pad prevents rug slippage 100%. Also, it secures the rug from wind lift. Sometimes, patio furniture needed to sit on top to anchor the rug from being swept away on windy days, but the pad appears to be holding it. When using the pad underneath, the rug doesn't balloon in the middle. It really does work effectively for preventing slippage and preventing it from moving. Mine is 5x8 and true to size. The pad is holding up very well outdoors.

I was expecting something else, an actual "pad". This product reminds me of the drawer liner material I use to line my kitchen drawers and shelves with. It is not a "pad", but more like a "liner". It adds little-to-nothing to the rug when placed underneath. I would not buy again. It is so thin.

Fast service, true to size, only thing I am not sure of if it is mildew resistant as HD wants a review in less than 2 weeks, and since this review is in email I won't be getting my 10% discount because I have no way to include a picture. Waisted time.

This rug is a better choice for us due to having a dog but still keeping a more natural look.

I like this rug very much. The rug's colors look different than they did on the website, but I am still happy with it.

This works great-even though I’m not using it as a rug pad. I laid it out on my kitchen tile floor to keep my lame Shepherd’s back feet from slipping and falling out under her. Works like a charm and I love it.

We didn’t realize this wasn’t recommended for use on linoleum so we couldn’t use it.

Exactly what I expected. The pad was actually larger than the 8x10 rug I put on top of it. It was simple to cut off the excess.

Before we installed this, our outdoor rug took a long time to dry out after it rained. Now even after a downpour, we can walk on it 2 days later and the rug is dry. Love it!

Nice pad for our outdoor carpet! Easy to trim and it adds a bit of "Cush"!

I realize that this was supposed to be used as an outside rug holder, but I found that it worked better for me to keep the rug in my child's room in place better. I still have to adjust the rug on occasion from continued use, but the rug definitely doesn't move out from under my son's feet as fast as it use to. I also liked the fact that I was able to trim it to fit the rug.

The non slip rug pad was as I expected. I had to cut about an inch off but that was probably because my top rug was marginally smaller than 5 x 8 ft. However that was very easy. Just be aware that this product is not suitable for all types of decking. That is on the packaging when it arrives. It may be in the specifications on line but I had not seen it there and needed to check when it arrived that it was OK. I am pleased with the product.

Our outdoor porch rug was wrinkling and hard. The pad reduces the rug's tendency to bunch up in humidity and make it softer underfoot.
