Pad has nice padding but does not keep rug from sliding away from pad. This pad was recommended for this type of rug, but I’m continually pulling rug bac into position.

The grid was very easy to lay out and it gripped the hardwood as hoped. The rug fit perfectly over the grid and it has not moved even fractionally. I am very pleased with this product. I have had this for a few weeks. I will probably purchase this product in the future for area rugs I have in larger sizes.

I liked it so much that I’ve purchased additional ones...

This is common in all Safavieh power-loomed rugs since it's woven by computer-controlled machines. This is also common in Safavieh Hand-Tufted Rugs, and Safavieh Hand-Knotted or Hand Woven rugs.

Non slip for non-indoor use.
Functionally this is okay, but there is a very strong odor which makes it unacceptable for indoor use.

Thank you for your review. Generally new rugs emit an odor. Airing out the rug in a well ventilated area generally solves the problem. If the rug arrived with an abnormal smell (mildew,mold, musty) it is recommended to contact the retailer for a full replacement.

Quality was high and it came quickly. I ended up returning it thought. I had hopes that it would keep my rug from bunching up, but it didn't. It did keep it from slipping though.
