bought this unit and the 14K BTU variant. The 12K BTU variant began turning itself off in the middle of the night (not due to water collector full - it did that too). PT said the behavior was abnormal. I simply returned both units. Trying an LG product now. Another annoying feature was the drain was very low so the unit had to be wheeled to somewhere appropriate to drain and during a humid season emptying was nightly.

It worked great at first. The hotter it got outside, the hotter it got inside. It has never registered the room as less than 82 degrees, even though I set it to cool at 62 degrees. I sent the first one back and they sent me a replacement - very efficient. Didn't help.

This AC works well in my open living space which is about 300 square ft. I set it up on a plant stand and drain it into a cleaning bucket which I cut a whole in the same size as the included tube so that it drains down. It leaked really bad before I figured out this solution. I imagine most portable devices need a similar solution.

Had it for a couple years now. Still works like a charm. Although, it's a bit noisy. Not so much that you have converse louder within the same room, but definitely noticeable.

i purchased this item thinking how great it was going to be. by accident the exhaust parts was thrown away and i cant get them any where. for the money that you spend on this item you would think they would have the parts in a store some where but no they dont. PPLLEEAASSE DONT BUY THIS ITEM ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Worked well for about 30 days and then it just died, never turned on again, no power to the buttons but power to Unit was fine. Does not keep temp where you want it. You say 68 and it will be 68 or even higher. Often times Id come home and the room was 76 degree with the AC unit set on cold at 64 degree, even auto doesn't work like it should. What ever you set it at it will be there but more often about 5 to 7 degree warmer, directions even state this. I have had better, returning "dead on arrival".

The product is working great, we would recommend the purchase of this item to our family and friends. We purchased the product for our family who lives in Texas. The product has been reliable and the family have on a couple occasions turned it off because it worked so well it was too cold for them. Product user
