It’s brand new, but the top in the bottom, which are supposed to be connected weren’t and the grommet that keeps the lid slightly separated from the seat. Only one of two is actually even there. They’re not in the box. The box appears well packaged and it doesn’t appear to have undergone any damage. It’s just incredibly poor quality control. Will have to return unfortunately mail order so you rely on quality to show up, not junk.

We are remodeling the bathrooms in our house and since the toilets are fairly new we decided to put on new toilet seats. The round closed front enameled wood toilet seat in white from Home Depot is inexpensive, looks good and feels well made, unlike some of the plastic toilet seats out there. Just a simple way to improve the look of the bathroom.

The opening is narrower at the back, making it a bit awkward and uncomfortable, and the material sweats more than the last plastic seat I had. Disappointing, but the cheapest option, so can't expect solid gold.

I know this only cost me $10, and it is even less now, so the value just depends on what a person is looking for. However, 9 months is just too short for even an inexpensive product like this to last, so I cannot recommend it.

I don't know why HD has 25-40 different types of toilet seats. This is the most basic one you can get. Recycled wood, not light weight plastic. No soft close, so don't slam it. Other than that, that's all you really need to know. For under $9, it gets the job done. The last one lasted about 12 years before the plastic hinges broke off. Used with a cheap bidet and extremely easy to install. Took under 1 minute with a flat head screwdriver

Lasted 2 weeks. First toilet seat to break before ten years had passed. Buy a better one next time or at least keep your receipt.

It was easy to attach and fit my toilet just fine.

Before picking it up I thought the product would be cheap do do it’s low price but it is perfect. It does not feel at all like cheap plastic unlike others that are much more expensive. It feels like a strong materia and very easy to clean. Maintains How white it is.

While this seat is nice looking and easy to install, it broke within the first week of installation. You get what you pay for.

Good smooth surface, even color. Screws large enough to be easy to turn with common screwdriver. Nice snap covers for screw tops.Fits perfectly. Happy customer.

Installation was pretty easy and straightforward. Quality of materials has not been an issue now after a month since it's just my young boys using this bathroom and me occasionally (I'm 200 lbs). The problem we have is that it started squeaking every time you lift the lid after about 3-4 days. I'm not talking about a little tiny squeak either. It's a loud enough that you can hear it from a few rooms away. It's an awful sound, not what you want to hear when someone has to go in the middle of the night. We cleaned it and that helped for about a day. The squeak quickly came back. Now it doesn't even go away when we clean it. Then I sprayed silicone lube all over the hinges and that did nothing. I even tried WD40 and dry lube with no luck. Crazy thing is I bought the same toilet seat for our other bathroom, for an elongated toilet, and it works fine. No squeaks at all. Guess my choice now is to roll the dice with another of the same or go get a higher quality one for the boys' toilet.

Economical, good quality, and super easy to install. Why pay more? Get the best bang for your buck. At this price, just replace to freshen up the appearance of the bathroom.

Made from recycled wood, this "cheapest" product is actually the best. Sturdy, easy to install, and looks great.

Purchased this exact model a few months back and I believe I got my $6 of use out of it. It cracked and broke after only a few months of use. Don't expect much and beware of giving a glowing review on this until you have had it for more than six months. Yes it is made of wood, but not like the wooden toilet seats of twenty years ago. Instead this is more like a particle board type of wood that is molded into the shape of a toilet seat. It is not nearly has durable as an actual carved out piece of wood. So, I got $6 worth of use out of it. My bad for thinking that I would get anymore than that.

Super easy to install (and I'm a novice, this is my first time doing home repairs), it took less than five minutes. Looks great, best $5 I ever spent.

The seat was easy to assemble. only took a matter of minutes. No tools required.

So far, so good. I am always a little weary of plastic hardware, but it is holding up quite nicely for the moment. Nothing seems to be loosening with time and use, and it's sparkling like new after a couple months--the main reason we replaced our old one.

I needed a basic round toilet seat for a height extender that I was installing on my toilet. I usually prefer the ones with the slow/quiet closing lids but that kind has built-in screws that are not long enough for the 3 1/2"extended height. This lid fit perfectly and now I have a much needed conversion that has greatly reduced the stress on my arthritic knees. And the price (which at first I thought was marked in error) is the icing on the cake. The only negative is that it is a basic wooden seat and not as comfortable as my ergonomically designed slow closing lid seat. But that does not outweigh the stress relief on my knees.

I found it to be comfortable in many ways! A must have!
