We have had this for 15 years. But now the top is broken, I think. Water will not flow anymore. Does GE sell the top piece anymore?

We have been using this filter model for about, I want to say, 15 years or longer. It is a second stage filter in our house as it is down stream from a whole house sediment filter. It is a snap to change once the kit is installed and having found the replacement subscription service, with this visit, I will begin using that with my next filter replacement need. This GXRLQR filter has spoiled our family as to how water 'can' and how we think it should taste. There are only a couple of draw-backs to me, i.e. 1) the price of the filter and 2) that the kit doesn't include a by-pass valve to allow you to perform the 'flush' process without the 'contaminants' going through the whole refrigerator water reservoir system. I installed a brass compression T-connection and cutoff valve after the filter to allow me to do that. Saving clean water is important to us.

hope home depot keeps stock on this. it works great with my kitchen water faucet filter.

Quick and simple to change and works good

The first filter we picked up was either defective or used. Water would barely flow through it. Our Home Depot promptly exchanged it. The new second filter works just fine.

Filter easy to install, fit well, filter water as I expected it to.

The filter is OK, however, there is limited water coming out from the unit. so not sure if it is the filter?

Water taste is good. The problem is a lot less water is coming through the faucet therefore it takes longer to fill my glass or kettle. Is that normal?

very hard to find the replacement filters i went to 4different of your stores till i was able tofind it you should have more in stock on other stores

Purchased this under counter water filtration system from the local Home Depot several years ago. Installation was a snap and I like the ease of installing new filters when needed. GE seems to be a good reliable brand so I went with it. Filters install with a nice quarter turn lock and virtually no water mess - don't even have to shut off water to change the filter! Went to go purchase a replacement filter, again at the local HD where I purchased the original system and they've completely overhauled their water filter offerings, pushing their in house HDX brand instead and zero stock of these anymore. Was forced to find replacement cartridges online. Kind of a hassle seeing as I needed the filter that day. Ended up buying 2 years worth online so I could avoid this scenario for awhile. What's the point of having a local store if you're forced to purchase replacement parts online? Next time I'll just go "online" all together and skip the local retail completely for any future needs. Probably will end up at Lowes or another "online" store since HD just opened the door to others. Silly...

These filters are getting hard to find in stores. My local HD had them in stock.

These are great filters but the cost is way to high!! But what isn't expensive now days!!!

These are really great filters, but expensive. I would buy again, but I am also looking for a lower cost solution.

This is a replacement filter that I use for my icemaker. I choose it when I first moved in to my condo several years ago. I have located so it is easy to change and flush. Works great

This is a replacement filter for the drinking water in my RV. The water at the campground is terrible! This filter does the job of taking out the nasty taste and smells. I have used this system for several years.
