Great Pool Paint
The finished product looks great and was not that difficult to apply to my pools plaster surface.

DO NOT BUY-
I bought this paint, downloaded the manufacture paperwork. Prepped my gunite pool. Let dry for 10 days after I painted. Within 3 days it is bubbling and the paint is coming off. At $94 a gallon, this is ridiculous. I saw other people’s reviews that this was happening and thought maybe they didn’t follow directions. I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

    Rubber pool paint
This is the third time I painted my pool and at first glance it looked great. Followed the direction with prep, painting and air temp. I let the paint dry with required time specified by manufacture. Pool had been filled for two week. The paint is already flaking off and bubbling under water after teo weeks of being filled with wayer. I do not recommend this product at all and was a waste of my money and time.

Paint did not cover well when 2nd coat was applied. Roller Mark's showed where I left off. Also paint took to long to dry. (8) days for 1st coat during all the dry days.

      Rubber-based paint
Used on an water feature fountain to re-paint the floors and walls which I try to keep "clean & clear" using at times chlorine products. The paint covered the surface areas well and dried pretty fast.

      GREAT PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!
This rubber synthetic pool paint was half the price my local pool companies were charging so I was a bit reluctant but WOW. I prepped exactly as the label suggested (skipped the acid wash as the label said which I was nervous about because every pool painting video says acid wash first). Drained the pool, cleaned it with tsp, light pressure wash then paint, let it cure for 7 days then filled. I filled it approximately a month ago and no flaking or anything. Took me about 5 hours to paint a 20,000 gallon pool with 1 helper. Looks amazing! before, and after pictures included. and will try to add a filled picture later

GREAT POOL PAINT IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
great product to paint a pool if you know what you are doing. I did not. So if you are new at painting pools proceed with caution. Be very very organized and have everything in place. And it might work for you. I wasn't organized enough and had no ideal what i was getting into. the good...its a quality paint...and if you move quickly it rolls on very well...if you know what you are doing..you can paint the first coat in 3-4 hour with a roller...looks very nice when you are done...very well packaged boxes for the cans...very strudy containers....if you did everything right..this stuff should last a long time...good service from ups but did take them 1 1/2 weeks to get to me.. the bad...dries very fast....is very sticky when it drys a little...so you can't step back on it....i was right at the max temp of 85 degrees but inside the pool add an extra 5-15 degrees down there....drips a lot so you have to smooth out those drips or they harden very quickly into a hard drip shape......doesn't like direct sun light...nor heat of the day...can't paint if temp is over 85 degrees...but inside the bottom of the pool...it get hot down there.....doesn't like any moisture on it...doesn't like morning painting if you get any kind of morning dew in your area......in other words water/moisture is the enemy of this stuff......also your plaster must be very very dry to paint on...and no rain...must set up plastic everywhere in your work area...because drips mixing it get all over the place...the cans come non-mixed..so a lot of the hardener is at the bottom of the can...so you have to stir the one gallon to mix it up before you pour it into a larger container...and that hardener at the bottom of the 1 gallon can doesn't want to move...you have to mix it to death before it will leave the bottom of that can..... also one gallon of paint doesn't cover a lot...i got 6 cans and it wasn't enough to paint my pool...had to thin it out...with paint thinner...also you must put two coats on it....and 2nd coat has to be 24 hours later but no later than 72 hours.....use thinner on the first coat...16 ozs per gallon then straight paint on the 2nd coat...i couldn't do this...had to thin out the 2nd coat because 6 gallons wasn't enough to paint my 14x28 pool...3 feet at the shallow end and 9 foot at the deep end.... and it took them 1 and half weeks to get it in the mail by the ups guy....my pool is a 25,000 gallon pool...wanted to paint my small spa too but didn't have enough paint....might be more efficient with a sprayer...also don't use old brushes because some of the old latex paint from prior paint brush use got mixed in a little...i had little streaks of blue on the pool walls from the old latex paint............also when this stuff dries...forget cleaning the rollers and brushes because it won't come off...also research the rollers to use...one type of roller didn't work that well for me...bought from home depot... the ugly...if you can get a hold of the rubberized chlorinated pool paint from the insl-x company its a better product then this synthetic rubber pool paint....if you are prepared and organized you can do this......have plastic everywhere...because i didn't and once this stuffs gets on the deck its very hard to remove...so have plastic from your work area to the pool area...move very quickly on painting with this stuff....also i had to do this from 10:00am to 2:00pm...because i get wind in the afternoon and the wind brings dirt......and i get morning dew in the morning...and this product doesn't like any moisture when you paint it...none...also bugs were driving me crazy...they were crash landing on this sticky paint..so i had to pick them up and repaint that area...also this paint does not like direct sun light...but not sure how i would paint it....because it doesn't like morning dew...also the sticky paint attracts bugs and dirt...so you have to move quickly...also you have to wait 7 days before filling...if it rains....add an extra day to it...also if it puddles up...get it out and start counting days again before filling....i can see why the internet is filled with horror stories on these pool paints fading crumbling cracking changing color, chalking and bubbling not too long after people fill them with water.....if i can get 2-3 years out of this...i will be happy...next time i going to get the chlorinated rubber paint they sell...its a better product...then this synthetic product...but this will do for now...also the white color is beautiful on the pool....also read up on how to use chlorine with this pool paint...these pool paints don't like chlorine or direct sunlight..so you might want to add a cover for it during the hot part of the day...also the 7 day waiting period has to be 70 degrees and up to count as one day...so if you get some cooler days in there...add some extra days...also it thickens up very quickly...you have to keep mixing it all the time if its warm...even though i had a 16oz of paint thinner to 1 gallon of paint ratio in there...it still thicken very quickly....

      A beautiful start to summer
I decided to try this paint based on the reviews, boy I'm glad I did. This paint went down easy, cleaned up easy and had very good coverage and adhesion. We have an indoor pool so the fumes were pretty bad even with all the skylights and doors open, I haven't filled the pool yet so this review is based on the coverage and ease of use, not the durability. I will update in a few months. I applied two coats, I used 5 gallons. I masked off the tiles on the stairs and landings, in the pics the tape is still on. The key to a great paint job is prep, prep and more prep. This product is thick and separates it needs to mixed very well. Mixing by hand with a mixing stick wont cut it, I would recommend a drill mixer attachment tool, just a few bucks but a key factor on how well it gets mixed. Also mix it as you go, I mixed about every 15/20 min as I was rolling it out. Clean the surface thoroughly, let it dry. Mask off, cut in first then roll out the sweetness.

      Best Paint Ever!!
I built a Shower Stall in the Basement. I used Concrete for the base and smooth finished plywood attached to stud walls. I sealed all corners and bottoms with 100% paint-able silicone. This was a low cost alternative to a Shower Stall. This product is the Rubberized version. It went on smoothly and dried very quickly. I primed the walls and the floor. The primer did not stick to the floor. It bubbled. The floor basically peeled up where I cut it. I washed floor with water and scrub brush and repainted with just the rubberized paint. It worked perfectly. I know its not the application but it repels water and wipes down very easily. This is a top shelf product at a great price. Let the store shake the cans. Use in well ventilated area due to fumes. Let it dry the recommended 7-10 days. I read a ton of information on this type of waterproofing product. This product was priced very well and the manufacturer described it very well. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Lousy Benjamin Moore pool paint Lousy Home Depot support
After being applied the black pool paint leeched out in white patches. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased the paint [ 8 gallons = $500.00 ] and they refered me to Benjamin Moore customer service. BM had no idea what would cause the problem and sent a representative to my home. He said he had never seen anything like it. Sent 1/2 gallon of paint back with him to analize [ this was in June , have heard nothing ].I am out $500.00 in product plus another 450.00 in replacement water.

RP-1 Pool Paint an Excellent Option.
I ordered 8 gallons of this paint and with along with community volunteers, painted the historic fountain pool in Monroe Park: Richmond, Virginia's oldest municipal park facility. The paint is of an excellent consistency and covers very smoothly with relative ease. The results were amazing and the community will enjoy this effort for many years.

Great product, adjust for rough surfaces!
I purchased a property that had a non-functional cement pond which had set empty for over 10 years. After repairing all cracks and holes, I could not get the pond to hold water (there was a heavy pond liner under the cement, but it was apparently damaged). I looked at several products, and settled on this pool paint to complete my project. The pond is approximately 18' X 25' and 20" at it's deepest point. After reviewing the coverage listed, I purchased 3 gallons to do the job. By the time that I had this finished with two coats, I had purchased 11 gallons in total! Now, understand that this was a very ROUGH surface, and had many areas that were rough cement patches (most of them were there when I started) and required a great deal of paint to fill all of the pores. I did the entire job using a brush-with curing time it took approximately two months to complete the job (ordered more paint three times, and have shipping time included... :)). The bottom line-the pond is holding water WONDERFULLY so far! I have a waterfall with a pump and filter, and while I do need to add water periodically-I'm very pleased!

      Great Product
It's been about 4 mos. since we used this product on our pool and everything is holding up great so far! Our pool is about 18 X 35 and we used around 5 cans of paint to completely cover the pool 2x. When I went to the pool store to pick up supplies to clean it the girl behind the counter told me to use TSP but by the time I got to Home Depot I forgot what she suggested so I thought "something with three letters.. Oh, CRL that must be it." Needless to say that's what we used. My husband made sure to power wash ALL of the CRL off before he applied the paint and we waited a little less than a week to let it dry. Our pool was very rough all over and had some rust spots as well. We patched them and painted. Everything still looks great! No bubbles, peeling, etc. I will say the very top step where the chlorine dispenser floats close to the surface has bleached out. I'm so happy with the way the rest of the pool looks it doesn't bother me one bit!

        Complete Makeover
Hard water in Fla had permanently stained the pool finish. Purchased the aquamarine, hideous color by the way, that was on sale and used as base coat. Couple of thin coats of the ocean blue and it was a total transformation. Wanted to spruce up the pool for the grand kids so we bought the other colors of pool paint (black, white, royal blue) and some tint from another source. Couple of tips if your thinking about doing the same; (1) Adding red tint to white pool paint still makes it pink, (2) Chlorine does what it does so make the colors darker than you think it should be and the chlorine will eventually bleach it to the correct shade.

        Great for Ponds
I used this product to "line" a concrete pond. It dries quickly, even in Seattle where it rains constantly. Buy more than product spec indicates--I got about half the coverage. Two coats is a "must" and second coat certainly requires less product. Wear a ventilator. This product took seemingly forever to arrive, so order well in advance. I put fish back in pond 3 days after second coat, and everything is still alive. I let first coat cure for 7 days.

Product is as pictured. Product is not as described....
Product is as pictured. Product is not as described. It took 3/4 of a gallon to cover 30 square feet with 2 coats, nowhere near the up to 350 square foot stated coverage. I needed more paint, and it is out of stock. This paint is very thick and cannot be applied in thin coats as directed. The paint is void a rubber characteristic that I excepted from a paint stating it is rubber based. The paint had separated in the can, it took quite an effort to mix. It would be nice to have policy to mix all paint before shipping.
