Don't waste your money on this one! Really!
This unit is pretty noisy. In about two months, you will have brought another one of these just by replacing the filters.

    It's a good buy.
There is value to this purchase. A bit noisy, but if you want an extremely quiet humidifier, your going to have to pay a lot more.

    Good Humidifier
I purchased this humidifier because of static electricity and dry skin. Since using this humidifier, I no longer get shocked everytime I touch something. It has also eliminated my son's itchy dry skin. I only have one complaint. It is very noisy even on the lowest setting. However, I will be happy to put up with the noise as long as I get rid of the static electricity and dry skin. All things considered, I would definitely recommend this product.

    Works well
We've had and used the product about 10 days. It works well, and my daughter no longer wakes up with a bloody or stuffy nose. She asks for it to be on and likes it. It does seem noisy, even on low, but not terribly noisy. We are yet to use it on medium or high, as only turn on for night and turn off in the morning. We like the electronic controls for humidity level and fan speed. We have not used the electronic run timer since we only use at night. Overall a very good product. Only question at this time is where to buy filters. We've experienced no leaks or issues.

      I wouldn't call it quiet
It seems to work well, only have it for a week. It's not really quiet, especially on high, blows a lot of cool air. Already needs to be cleaned since it's also a purifier. Comes with a "ProTech" cleaner to help with mineral buildup. Also comes with a coupon for more, but Home Depot (at least the one by me ) doesn't stock them. It does have an automatic shut off, but there's still water in the base. Be sure to pick up the tank straight or it will drip water all over the place from the cover.

      what you pay for
does a mediocre job at maintaining humidity. purchased two units two years ago. wicks mold quickly and at the beginning of this year both the tanks and the caps all cracked at the threads making both units useless. called honeywell directly and they are mailing me two new tanks and caps free of charge.

Good Humidified, but could be better
What is good about this humidifier is that humidifies the air by evaporation instead of spraying a mist that can make the area surrounding the unit wet. I know it is working because it comes on when our forced air heater comes on which dries the air. It also shuts off when a “user set” percentage humidity is reached. Then it turns back on if the humidity goes below that setting. The problem is that I don't know how accurate the humidity measuring (hygrometer) is. I set the humidity at 49% and the unit turns on when the humidity is 55% or greater. I don't know if the reading is off, or is required to turn on in order to get an accurate reading. It doesn't say in the instructions. Another problem is that the water reservoir does not sit on its own which makes filling it awkward. It is also not all that quiet. One more complaint... Instructions say to soak the filter in water after every re-filling. I didn't do that because I filled the reservoir back up before it ran out. I checked the filter and it was still wet, so I didn’t bother. You need to check it after every filling to make sure it is not dirty or had mildew which I did not find. When wetting the filter it is easy to spill so you have to do this at the sink and then carry the base unit to where you are going to run the humidifier and then put the motor unit over the filter and then add the water reservoir. A bit of a hassle and can spill easily if not kept level. What is good about it: > good (removable) reservoir that does not leak and easily fits into unit. > puts moisture into the air effectively through evaporation. > simple design. NOTE: Because I have had trouble with other humidifiers in the past, I distill (purify) the water to remove minerals so that it doesn’t have to cleaned as often. This isn’t a requirement by the manufacturer, but it means you will have to clean it less often so to me is worth trouble. Because it actually does a good job of what is most important, putting moisture into the air, I gave it a 4 star rating.

        Horrible product
I agree with others that this product has trouble maintaining humidity. it remains at the 30% level even though set at 55%. I have to replace the filter every week, although the manual said that it needs to be replaced every season. Would never recommend this product.

            Do not buy!
I purchased this humidifier at the store about two months ago. It does a very poor job of maintaining desired humidity level in my medium size room, the highest level ever achieved was 32% (set at 55%). The filter holds 2 week max before starting emitting horrible moldy odor (owner's manual says it should be replaced about once during a season), I am on my 4th filter and 4th demineralization cartridge already. The only advantage - the room temperature is a little higher when it is working.

                Great Product
Over the past few years I have used a humidifier in my bedroom at night. In the northeast the cold dry air is hard on my skin and my sinus passages. The only way I can help prevent these problems is to use a humidifier at night . Also aides in sleeping. Of the three I have used this is by far the best. Easy fill, set up and use. Extremely quiet and does not leave a mist all over the carpet of hard wood floors. You do not see the moisture but you can certainly tell that it is incorporated in the air you breath. Great item would purchase again.

                  Honeywell Cool Breeze
This is ideal for people who have to keep the heat on in the winter and their windows winterized. I use to wake in the night with the 'ol Death Valley mouth, but now with this purchase my apartment has moisture in the air and I sleep much better. I can fill 'er up before bed and set the hours I want it to run. It's very easy to operate and can be cleaned with bleach and white vinegar in a snap! If your water faucet doesn't put out real cold water when filling the tank-dump a tray of ice cubes into it and you'll experience the COOL BREEZE for sure!!!

                    QquietCare Humidifier
This product is great! Does an excellant job keeping moisture in a large area. My condo is 1400 sq ft and this little bugger keeps the moisture level at what ever I want for the entire condo. Much quieter than most humidifiers as well. Highly recommend and very easy to use!

                      Great product for the price!
Awesome product for the money! We put it in the living room during the day which provides excellent moisture for the living room and dining room. At night we use it in the bedroom, sleeping has never been so luxurious during the dry season. "A must buy" for the price, plus it holds 4 gallons of water so you don't have to constantly change it and easy to move around.
