Right out the box the Sengled lights speakers look great. I own other JBL speakers so I knew the sound was going to be good and it is. I also really like that there is a master speaker that connects with my phone and the satellite connects to the master to have great sound from both. I downloaded the application and it was fast and easy to use on both my phone and my tablet. I like the option it gives you on when turning the lights on they will turn on on your saved dimming configuration. The response of the light is fast and it can be dimmed, turned on and off from the application. The sound is clear and with the application there are equalizer functions to make it sound even better according to what you are listening to. And speaking of the application I really like the look of it, one thing I would like option to have is to store it in my external storage instead of my phone. The one thing I would like to be either changed in the future is to have the light designed either shorter so It can look like the other recessed lights, ( right now the light is flushed with the ceiling so the light looks like a light bulb not recessed) What I will do is probably get a deeper can light to have the Sengled be inside more. I also tried to put the ring back on but it does not fit, I really like the Sengled lights so I will work around it to make it look better.

I would stay away from this manufacturer Sengled, I purchased 6 light fixtures with WIFI Camera in Home Depot, the manufacturer offered a free 1-day video recording on their sites, and that was the main reason I bought 6 devices, suddenly the eliminated the free 1-day video recording. I manufacturer will not last in the market if they don't commit to their written promises.

The set up is very easy and the app interface is easy to use. The light functionality is great, but the sound leaves something to be desired. The primary issue is the signal range between the light and the bluetooth source and between the two lights. Their maximum range is only about 12-15 feet before it has a lot of sound distortion and signal interruption.

PRODUCT WORKS WELL WITH ALL THE CONNECTION. BUT SOUND WISE FOR BEING JBL DOES NOT SOUND WELL AT ALL. ON THE LOUDEST SET IT SOUNDS DISTORTED.

Sengled has answered my question for my master bath with this wonderful new product. I am in love with the Pulse Dimmable Light and Bluetooth Speaker system. Right out of the box, very easy to set up. Just download the app for PULSE and screw in the bulbs. Once done, turn on the light switch and connect to your device's bluetooth. BAMMMM!!! there is light and music from two bulbs. I have enjoyed this product more than anything in a long time. You can control the bulbs from your smartphone or ipad and tablet. The light can be dimmed, the volume can be turned up or down via the app on your device. I would definitely recommend this product to the tech home control person.

I think this product is a great idea. At first I thought it would be a joke but after installing it in my living room ceiling light I was amazed. Th sound quality of the JBL speakers was really good, I also love the fact that you can adjust the volume and the light brightness or turn them on and off through the app.I love that is't bluetooth and not wifi because wifi is lousy at my house. I just get my phone hit my playlist and as long as my phone is within forty or fifty feet of the light it works great. You don't need batteries either it's all powered through the light. Installation is great too , if you can screw in a light bulb you can install it.

First let me say how much I just ADORE this idea! It really is fantastic and very much needed. I love that I get two for one needs met out of one item (or in this case - two in a set). These are meant to be screwed into a light socket, freestanding lamp, or an over head "can light" (AKA: High Hat). The over head light application seems to be the best of all worlds, because you get to have bot the light and the music coming form the unit, coming down over head. Being that the speaker bulbs have some weight to them, when putting them into a taller table lamp, one might use extra caution in placing them into the most stable setting for them to be 100% safe and sturdy. If you do place them into table or free standing lamps, make extra certain that the light has a sturdy base, so they cannot be knocked over, if the lamp is bumped and cause any possible damage to the units. But in my case, the biggest issue that I'm having was trying to place them up into my kitchen ceiling recessed lights. It seems that, that not all 'can lights' are created equal, and are made the same. In this instance, MY lights, are tapered at the bulb base, and then spread out wide at the bulb 'top' portion where the bulb sticks out into the ceiling, to spot shine the light down onto your area. The 'speaker lights however, are not tapered, and are all one continual uniform size ALL the way around. They simply would not fit into any of my existing 'can light receptacles'. My home isn't that old either, it was built in 2008. So, I'm not quite sure if newer lights are being produced at a different size now. But, one thing is certain that, I will now have to replace my recessed lighting cans specifically to fit the speaker bulbs. Which is a bit deflating because, there are several YouTube videos, clearly showing plenty of people simply screwing the speaker right into their existing lights, and pumping up the tunes! So, now that I explained my issues, and it is out of the way, I will tell you without any question that, they ARE totally worth the slight trouble of swapping out of the old lights, just to get the full appreciation of these incredible new light speaker combo units. I fully intend on bringing the little speaker with me into my Home Depot, when shopping for the new light bases - this gives me full ability to double check the speaker bulb for fit. It's an extra expense that was not in my plan, but the speakers sound good enough to make sure of that the retrofit light fixtures are worth both time and trouble to do so! Of course I wanted to actually hear how they sounded, so I simply plugged them into a set of table lamps. When using the Bluetooth feature alone, I had them up and running in an INSTANT via my phone! I could control the volume from the phone and the song choice -- but in order to dim the bulbs, and adjust the equalizer controls the "Sengled Pulse" APP needs to be downloaded. This didn't go quite as easy as I had hoped. I will be looking more into how the app works once I get them installed into the correct placement in the house. The app isn't the best working part about these lights, and I do wish that they would pay a bit more attention to upgrading the app and making it more user friendly. But of course, the app is available for Apple products, and Android. The app is important because it allows you to use ANY the newest streaming radio stations (like Pandora, IHeartRadio, etc) from your new speaker lights! You can also hook up to a maximum of eight pairs of Pulse Speaker bulbs together! They have a range of 100feet and can be used from "room to room" for continual sound throughout your entire home! They are simply AMAZING! It is yet another one of those items that you didn't know you needed them until you have them in hand and can SEE how incredibly enhanced they can and do make your life! I would without a doubt highly suggest these speakers with lights! I'd have given them 5 stars if they had been more friendly to ALL can light shapes - and a better working APP.
