The lighting kit is a simple and functional design that completed the ceiling fan. I just purchased the house and though there are ceiling fans in most of the rooms, none of them had integrated light fixtures. Initially, installing the lights was pretty cut and dry, until I found that the wires in the ceiling fan, that would provide independent power to the lights had no power. I had to contact the fan manufacturer for the electrical schematics to resolve the issue and this, ultimately required the complete disassembly of the ceiling fans. In the end, I had to run an additional wire through one fan's central core to provide power to the lights that would work independently from the fan. In two other fans, it was necessary to splice the designated wire to the primary power source, which again required the disassembly of the ceiling fans to accomplish this. The lights installation instructions does not address this issue and unless you have some electrical wiring knowledge, it would be a tough nut to crack and not a project for a beginner. This setback, however does not take away from the positives of these light fixtures. It could have been simply how the fans were originally installed. With this said, once these light fixtures were installed, they worked as designed. They look nice and they added a nice décor to each room they were placed in. The only downside of their performance is that though they have 3 bulbs, they are collectively very dim, they could stand to be brighter. However, since the room had no light fixtures to begin with, this was a significant improvement over all. Ordering the lights was an easy simple process. The product was shipped in a timely manner and it arrived intact and on time.

Installed easy, looks great and the quality is good. My only complaint is that it uses candelabra base bulbs making their CFL equivalents cost 2x what they should.

This light fixture attached to my existing Hampton Bay ceiling fan without any problems at all! I just removed the old 4-light fixture that came with the fan and installed this new one. The only change that I had to make was to extend the pull chain (added more links) that went to the fan part so that it would extend below the light bezel - not a problem at all! Am very happy with the new fixture in every aspect!

Like the style of this light kit. The light is soft so perfect for the living room. The order was easy to do online and it was delivered to the Home Depot store on the date that they said.this kit was good value.

I ordered this light kit after mine went out. Super easy to install!

Plenty of light for a bedroom. I tried clear 60 watt bulbs. It was too bright. I switched back to the frosted 40 watt bulbs that it came with. I put the light on a fan I have had for about 30 years. I had no problems and it makes the fan look much newer!

Fan bulbs that come with the fan are not that bright, so I replaced them with bright white bulbs.
