Received 2 weeks later. Drum only measures 35", the 40" on the sale tag includes the bracket width. This 4 inch inaccuracy is enough that it doesn't cover my tire tracks. Plug should be closer to the edge to allow better drain and a better fill. Drum was too light to make any kind of difference on any small bumps in my lawn. Would not buy again.

I could not put it together because the parts did not fit together. I return the product to Home Depot and I still have not gotten my money credited back to my account.

The roller had hole in it so had to send back to Home Depot to return to company, I haven’t heard anything about getting another roller as of today......I still need a roller.... I liked the roller wish it didn’t have hole in it........

I have not had a chance to use the roller being that it is early March. The one thing that I can tell you is that the shipping arrangements and delivery was a terrible experience!!!

Love this roller, and would give it 5 stars except for the cheesy water plug. They could do better than an expansion plug for this much water weight. Easy to assemble. Had major issues with delivery, but this is a product only review, so I can't deduct stars for that....because I definitely would. I have a pig that roots my lawn up in the winter, and this is good for keeping it tamped down. I opted for this steel version to allow me to store it outside and not have the UV rays from the sun degrade a poly version. Well worth the money. I'd buy it again.

While I haven't actually used it yet, I wanted to get a review up as soon as possible due to other reviews I read before buying. While like others I had the issue of the box being damaged upon delivery and all of the hardware being missing as a results, that is where the similarity ended. I called Home Depot customer service and was told that they couldn't just sent me the hardware because they didn't actually have the same model in the store, but they offered to return the first unit and ship a whole new unit. That seemed kind of a lot a shipping for a few pounds of missing hardware, so they suggested that I contact Ohio Steel directly. Ohio Steel customer service opened a warranty ticket no questions asked and I had all of the hardware less than a week later. As for the roller itself, I haven't actually used it yet so I can't speak to the leaking problems mentioned elsewhere, but the build quality in general seems to be pretty good. While it is obviously heavier than the poly rollers in general making storage a bit tougher, I ultimately decided that a steel roller would just work better. No matter how thick/hard the walls of a poly roller are, it seems like they are still going to flex some with that much weight on them, meaning that less energy is going into actually flattening the surface on which they are rolling.

Exactly what I wanted and it arrived much faster than I expected it too.

We are very pleased with the lawn roller. We had looked at some that were larger but decided on one that was a little narrower, feeling that it would do a better job of rolling the yard having the weight concentrated in a narrower roller. It pulled easily and did not take long to fill up. I'm very glad we chose this lawn roller and we would recommend it to others.

Easy to assemble. Works like a roller. I chose the steel in place the poly for the reason that I can weld on it to make repairs over the years. I pull it with a John Deere 310 rider. The 400’s is perfect. You can feel a tug but not bad. Anything more for this little tractor .

I order this product 7 weeks ago and when it finally showed up the parts were scattered all throughout the bottom of the box (not in a plastic baggy) and I was missing half my parts. So, I called the company and told them they told me two weeks to get the parts. The parts arrived today and I am still missing these two flange pieces. Customer service is awful, slow and unreliable. They gave me duplicate parts and the parts I need to put together the roller are still nowhere to be found. Unbelievable, so I am supposed to wait yet again for customer service to screw this up one more time. I wish I could drive down there and pick up the parts. How ridiculous.

Product is exactly what I wanted, however after using it just 2 times the roller is leaking because the weld is not holding. Disappointing I must say.

Easy to assemble. Looks and feels like a good heavy duty lawn roller. We just out it together and haven't had a chance to use it. It was missing one pin that goes on the side to hold the arms on. Looking forward to using it.

The roller is not able to be used as the weld on the left rim is bad and the roller is leaking.

Roller was very easy to assemble. Instructions were either for an older design or a different model. Actual assembly only required 4 bolts. Unit works well. Only minor issue is I wish it had a threaded bung type fill hole rather than the screw stopper type it has , but that is a minor issue

The roller had the leaks in the welding so I filled it with sand and the plastic sleeves on toe bat will not last long bad sit-up

The roller was very easy and quick to assemble. It seems to be of good quality. The drum's steel was a bit thinner than I expected. I don't like the plug that retains the water; >> you need a flathead screwdriver to expand the plug to seal the water and hold it in place "and" the plug's outer face is flush, so you cannot just grab the plug to pull it out and release the water (this could be a major problem if the plug gets stuck and you cannot drain off the water, you could end up having to drill out the plug to get it out). I would have preferred something quicker like the plug that I had on my last metal roller (had a quick release foldover lever that expands the plug and allows you to grab the plug and pull it out). The plug in this roller is larger than the one in my old roller, so I cannot use my old plug. My old roller's plug is a typical size used in boats (easy to get a replacement), so this new OHIO roller plug size is not typical. I have not used the roller yet, but I don't expect any problems (except possibly trying to remove the plug). A second complaint that I do have is that the stated size of the roller is 18" x 40", which is an outright lie, it's 18" x 36". This manufacturer (OHIO) decided to get a competitive advantage by including the width of the brackets instead of just the width of the drum (they hide the correct 36" drum width in the fine print). The "drum" width needs to exceed your riding lawn mower's rear tire width in order for you to smooth out the mower's tire tracks as you drive forward.
