We used the Pergo Dark Cherry several years ago to do the dining room and decided to do our living room recently.We could not find it in the Home Depot store so the sales associate recommended buying it online and having it shipped to our home. What a GREAT way to do it! It was delivered in perfect shape right to my garage! No need to load it up and then unload it from my car! Free shipping too!!! Even though the dining room was done several years ago it still matches the new living room floor! Couldn't ask for this experience to be better!

I purchased several boxes of the Dark Cherry to replace 12 yr old laminate boards that had incurred damage over the years. The color and finish is exactly the same, but the product was different....the reason being they changed the locking technology specifications 3 yrs ago, and these floors WILL NOT INTERLOCK with the original Dark Cherry product. I confirmed this with Pergo tech service reps during my new install. There is no leftover old product anywhere in the marketplace. You are forced to replace the entire floor or get extremely creative to make this work as replacement for existing planks! Additionally, the new technology simply isn't as 'seamless' as the old...you can clearly feel the edges of the planks when walking barefoot on the new flooring.

I have used Pergo in the past and was happy with the product. In this case I read the description and was suprised to find that the flooring planks did not have the foam backing like my other pergo flooring I used. I had do special order the foam backing which cost a significant amount of money ($250 for 600sq). The floor went down fast and easy but I did have a little problem with some of the edges (tongs) getting damaged. The Home Depot description of the product was lacking since it did not state either way foam backing or not on each plank like some of the other Pergo.

i personally would not use pergo or pergo-type flooring again. I would stick with real wood. this stuff is not as durable as it is made out to be - and once it is damaged there is no patching it. Mine has gouges from things dropped and OMG if it stays wet for very long it puffs up like a cattail going to seed. And to fix the problem you have to remove all the boards from the wall to the damaged area. Not practical if you have pets or kids.

I intalled this in my kitchen and breakfast nook. I would have given it 5 stars but I had a problem. I had read a review about another floor and the person said that there was some damaged pieces in there order. I decided to order extra since it was a special order from my local Home Depot. I figured I would need about 13 to 14 cartons to finish the project. I purchased 16 cartons and I am glad I did. I ended up with 17 bad boards in the 16 cartons. I would recomend to order extra. The floor went down pretty easy with the right tools.

At first, attacking this project seemed a little easy. What made it easier were the tools that I needed to complete this job. It was like a giant puzzle that we could not wait to finish. We did learn to work as a team and made the process speed up but with this quality of flooring, this went smoothly. We have now placed an order for more flooring of this same type, just to finish up the rest of the house and we can’t wait to receive the material. We used this flooring in an upstairs family room a year and a half ago. It has held up well and like it so much that we are putting it in the adjoining bedrooms.

Got this flooring to replace carpeting because of my 2 dogs. The carpeting was too much to try and keep clean. this laminate is very easy to install (first timer). However, it will dull your saw blades pretty quickly. Very durable, looks great, got it on sale for 25% off. I would recommend looking at some better quality laminate because although it is more per square foot, most higher end come with the underlayment attached. this one does not and it isn't cheap (adds another $1 or so per square foot).

I have been able to install laminate floors in three different rooms in a weekend or less. I find them durable and easy to clean. I prefer the stone varieties over the hardwood floor styles because they are less common. I have installed them over subflooring and in the basement. It is a small cost for a georgous outcome.

I can't say enough about the Pergo Presto flooring that I had put throughout my house. I have little children at my house all of the time and it withstands spills and basketballs and even a skateboard (only once). The color is perfect for many shades of wall colors and goes very well with different types of furniture. You can clean this floor with only soap and hot water if you choose, or with a variety of cleaners. It's really easy to install and I just love it. Tip: using a shop vac instead of a broom makes cleaning/sweeping the floor a breeze.

The Home Depot is great. The Pergo presto floor is so easy to put together. I had a flood and had to take up just a small section of floor, and it was very easy to replace. I would recommend this floor to anyone!!!
