I first bought the stock merchandise but found this online for $25 less. At $110, the price is excellent and it came in a matter of days. I paid a licensed electrician $495 for a similar enclosure about a year ago (that's not installed!).

Adding this unit between my meter base and hose breaker panel gave me the security I needed when wiring my home. It affords emergency responders a quick means of cutting power to my house if the situation arises.

Good price

Good, but not perfect.

Used for entry service disconnect and for whole house generator service disconnect (always use with a certified and inspected transfer switch). Would be useful more often if other breaker sizes were available, such as 150A. Very desirable width.

This 200 amp disconnect is the perfect disconnect. Costing only $100, this disconnect has lots of room inside for the #2/0 wire. My electrical supplier said his disconnect cost $200. What a difference. Home Depot rocks!

My neighbor is an electrical contractor. We had to have him replace the GE 200A main breaker that had burned up in its outdoor enclosure. Afterward, he showed me his marks on the fried breaker, indicating he had replaced once before in 2008. I can't speak to the cause of the burnout, but my experience tells me that breaker should last longer than 7 years.
