I purchased this based on the reviews. My pocket door frame was metal not wood. After some adjustments, I made this trim kit fit like a glove with thanks to the almighty Lord🙌🏽 Everything needed for the trim pieces came bundled together with no damage.

Easy to install and works great. I would suggest the soft close for the door so it doesn't slam or bounce, it's great if you have kids as it protects from pinched fingers

The Everbilt pocket door trim kit is pretty much ready to go out the package. Some trimming of the boards in the kit is necessary since every rough-in opening is a little "different". The Everbilt kit board are sanded and edges are smoothed. The boards are pre-primed ready for paint. The quality of the wood seems "clear" knot free however I did have one board that had a small void in it but it was on the backside of the jamb trim for the top. I have a mostly metal pocket door frame system meaning that I didn't have wood to nail the jamb to. I used construction adhesive along with finish nails where I could get to wood of the frame. It should hold up just fine.

Nicely packaged in cellophane. Not warped. It was nice that the jamb material was primed. The jamb was a bit thin though (about 1/2 inch thick). A 4 9/16 wall pocket door wall is flimsy as it is. It wouldn't hurt to keep the thickness at 3/4 inch.

Product was of good quality and looked great when it was installed.

These are very softwood, any sort of bump into them leaves an imprint in the wood. I have toddlers who are constantly running into things with there toys and these didn’t even last a hour before there were dents in them

I finished the installation of my pocket door frame kit and the door. I installed the strike jamb with 10-12 brads. I didn't need shims because the trimmer stud was very straight and plumb. When I started the install of the split jamb halves, I discovered that they were only 3/8" thick! Had to remove the strike jamb and install a 1/2" spacer behind it to use the split jamb pieces. Same with the split header containing the track because the split header pieces wouldn't cover the top of the door!

The door jam kit work well as expected.
