used these filters for years. Will probably use them for years to come.

I purchased the Pur water filtration system, model #CR-1100C just last week and am already having problems with it. First, the button on the lid does absolutely nothing when I push it and secondly, after having filled only 4 gallons the water doesn't drain through the filter (that came with it) any longer. The manual says it should be good for 40 gallons! I have followed all directions exactly so the problem must be the unit itself. I emailed Pur using the link they provided on their website regarding this problem but it came back as "undeliverable". What a waste of money!

This water filter is pretty simple to replace and the pitcher and filter system are convenient. It's a great alternative to buying bottled water.

If you bought the Pur 18-Cup Water Dispenser you need to use this filter. Most of these filters work fine but I have experienced a few that doesn't filter as good as others. So you take your chances and hope you get a good filter.

I've used this water pitcher brand for years and always buy the 4-pk replacement filter cartridges, but the last couple of purchases I've had to trash one cartridge in each 4-pk due to some sort of blockage not allowing the water to filter through to the pitcher, even after repeated prepping soaks. It proved useless, although cheaper to buy the 4-pk at $29.99 instead of the separate filter at $10.99, if the product is faulty in the 4-pk, you're losing money. I may have to switch to Brita to see a difference.

Filters very well. No chemical taste to the water, but just a crisp clean taste. Good product.

I love the PUR system. The water tastes so much better and it is easy to use.
