The door is put together well... straight and even.... the glass mirrors well protected as is the door itself. The problem is the wood has a few mars...scratches and compression marks. The backside was cleaner and prettier than the front, With Sanding and finishing we were able to hide the mars somewhat. Door functions well.

I had trouble whether to give 3 or 4 stars. The mirror is high quality and is beautiful. The wood is nice too put it would be better if it came painted...trying to remove the protectant from the mirror after painting was a nightmare! It took an hour to finally get it off as it was stuck behind the wood. I am using the door for my small bathroom. The back side is nice looking but the manufacturer was very sloppy with the glue and so I had to use a knife to clean it up which took another hour. Once inside the bathroom, there is no easy way to pull it closed, even though it was advertised as a pass-through door. I had to buy a leather strap to use as a handle as anything larger would prevent the door from closing all the way. The tiny knob that came with it takes away from the classiness so I had to purchase a handle of my own. It is beautiful but had to do a lot of work to get it that way!

As the description shows, these doors are universal and reversible, not just closet doors, and I needed doors for my den/home office. The house was built without a door on this room, just a framed and trimmed 48" doorway. Putting in any kind of traditional door was not an option so I started looking for alternatives and found these bi-fold doors. I painted the frame white to match the woodwork, my husband installed them (the instructions weren't the best) and they fit perfectly in the space. A little trim on either side and across the top to hide the track finished the job and they look great. The reverse side of the doors is just the back side of the mirrors with gray backing to protect the glass from breakage. Since these doors would be visible and opened/closed from the front AND back I wanted a finished look on both side of the panels. This is what I came up with: I cut four pieces of cardboard from the shipping boxes and fitted one into each of the frames to cover the back of the mirrors. Then I covered the cardboard with decorative bulletin board paper, hot glued some cord around the inside of the frame to hold everything in place, attached picture frame ring-style hangers so the doors could be closed from the inside and - Voila! - they look great and function beautifully. Just what I wanted!

These bifold doors are beautiful. I bought two mirrored doors for a 48 inch opening and painted them white. That was a bit time consuming. Wish they came already painted. That would be a plus and save time. But leaving the film on the glass mirror when painting made it easier. So I recommend that you don't take the film off till you get the wood the way you want it. I had knobs already from my old louvers so I used them instead of the round wood ones that came with the doors and I was able to use the existing tracking that came with my old louvers to my delight! My old track is one piece as the new tracks come in one track per door so I would have had to use two tracks to get my 48 inches. Also, I tried to put the door knobs on the edge of the opening. That didn't work. The doors wouldn't open. You have to move the knobs over to the center of the door to get it to pull open. All in all I love these doors and recommend them highly.

Beware if you plan to use two sets side by side: The outer frame of the doors is not true. There is an inward bow. (This problem is consistent on both sets.) If you are lining up 2 bi-fold sets, side by side, there will be a gap in the center where they meet. Why Pinecraft cannot match the precision found on the interior edges that are hinged together is beyond me. Who wants a 1 inch gap in the center?

The mirror bi-fold closet doors arrived well packaged and were easy to finish - in my case with a pecan satin all-in-one stain and varnish - 2 coats with copious application of extra fine steel wool for a smooth finish. The plastic mirror protective coating peeled off fairly easily and installation last week was easy since I already had the sliding tracks installed from the old bi-folds. I love the look of the pine frames (see image). My only complaints are (1) the rubber layer between the mirror and the pine wood frame was poorly aligned during manufacture, especially on one of the panels - although now they are installed this is not so noticeable and (2) a gap between the plastic protective coating and the wood frame on one panel necessitated removing dried stain on the edge on the glass mirror....both of these issues being the result of sloppy --- hate to say --- 'Made in the USA' quality control. Come on Pinecroft! Buck up! I am very happy with the final result. The mirrored doors make the bedroom look bigger and brighter.

Well packaged and arrived undamaged. The quality is okay. They aren't perfect, but look good. I painted them before installing them. I ordered 2 sets.

Overall decent doors. After reading another review, I noticed the finish between the mirror panel and the wood is not great so I decided to caulk the transition and I painted the doors. This added finishing time, but I think created a better finished look. After installing, I noticed some scratches on many of the mirror panels, which appeared to be applied by some machining process (from the looks of the scratch pattern). I can't be 100% sure it came from the factory this way since I didn't double-check after receiving, but it is not very noticeable.

We just completed installing 4 of these doors in 2 closets that face each other in a hallway in our bedroom. I found the doors to be of high quality - they are sturdy, the pine is clear, and the mirrors seem to also be of high quality. I did end up going onto the Pinecraft web site and printed off their installation directions page - the only ones in the shipping box are a small and inadequate printed version on the side of the plastic bags holding the hardware. Some cautions - these take time to finish (we painted) and they require more than one coat. We did pick up more decorative handles rather than use the wooden ones that came with the doors. I'm glad we got these doors. They look great and function well.

Not sure to size. Measures 29 1/2 x 79" Instead of 30 x 80.

I bought 2 of these. Went to put second one up and there is no track in the box. Had someone come to install so now im in a pickle. Cant put the door in without it. The doors are great though if i can get them up

My husband easily installed the door, the mirrored door made a big difference in my dark hallway.

Was packed well and looks great. The measurements are as described. I am only taking 1 star off, because the plastic foil that covered the mirror was incredibly hard to take off.

1. Panel corners fastened with plastic pegs. NO GLUE. Stress of closing pulled apart top corner of attached side. Fixed by screwing or finish nailing all panel corners and installing BOTH furnished springs to keep the door from opening completely. 2. Pine doesn't stain uniformly, even with a conditioning treatment. Probably OK if you paint. I would have happily paid more for wood that stains better. 3. Too thin protective plastic film on mirror VERY difficult to remove.

I really don't like these doors. They say they are 30" but are only 29" and now I have a gap around the edges. I suppose somewhere in the fine print they say the doors are 29". After all, why would you advertise them as 30" when they aren't? They were difficult to paint even with painter's tape around the edge, never mind trying to go around the hinges! And is there a secret to getting the plastic off? It is one of the most difficult things to do. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I've read everyone's comments and still doesn't help. And of course, after I've painted them and they are up, Home Depot has already painted ones on the website. Would have bought those if they had been there when I bought these.

These closet doors help me dance when I open them. I don’t always do so. But when I open them I’m called to dance. Not a perfect cut as it fits differently than anticipated. Though the dancing power remains which goes to show these doors are helpful.

This door worked well. It has a about 1 1/2 " open from the bottom & top from our door frame but otherwise it looks great!

Very nice door. Good quality. It’s nice the mirror is sealed so it can be painted without getting paint on the mirror part. I would still recommend to tape around mirror edges. Easy to install. Lots of compliments on this bifold door.

For the price, door was good quality. The packaging on the glass made it easy to paint. Hardware fit with my existing track, so the switch was easy.

Even the packaging on this was done to perfection.

Just picked this product up from Home Depot and was ready to install it last night. My neighbor came over. We opened the box for the first time, took out the foam and the closet, but it only came with the rail, no hardware or anything else whatsoever
