It was difficult to utilize in tight spots, like under the sink. The meter can only be read while it’s on the wood, so if the angle isn’t such that you can see the results, it’s not helpful. Returned it.

Does the job. Not particularly precise but if i needed precise id have purchased a more expensive one.

Does the job it's supposed too. I bought this to check moisture levels of tobacco, I roll my own and the new machine I use works best when the moisture level is about 10-11%.

Easy to use, fairly accurate (compared against a much more expensive meter). All in all, a good value.

Works OK, except sometimes you have to take two readings. Maybe I need to get used to it - maybe I'm not positioning the pins evenly.

Wish I had gone for the pin-less models. Pins are very short (<1/4”).

Switching between the two ranges of moisture content is frustrating and time consuming. Also the time to initialize is comparatively longer. I'm comparing this to a similarly priced meter that I've had for about 8 years.

Very useful tool, was purchased to test for moisture content in wood flooring and wall after minor water seepage. Sensitive and very effective at locating problem areas. The LED readout is very easy to read.

This meter gave the same reading if checking fresh cut wood or wood 2 years in garage.. same reading if I emerced probes into shallow water..

easy to use, good instructions, not bad at all for the price

Dont be fooled by the good reviews. This is a 'pin type'. That means there are two sharp prongs that you have to dig into your sheetrock or wood flooring to get a reading. There is a reason you dont see the prongs in this picture. It would never sell. They re hidden by the cap on top. Forget about buying any 'pin type' humidity detector.

Item worked as I expected. I purchased it to measure the moisture in my drywall in the basement from recent flooding. It isn't high end but I got the results I was looking for.

Purchased this for my husband as a Christmas present and he loves it! He purchased a large pile of wood and found it was still very wet. This moisture meter will help him decide if the wood is still too wet or not.

Easy to use, but read about one to two percent higher then a commercial meter.
