I wouldn't recommend you buy this Bird Feeder. It is made cheaply and designed poorly. The cable that holds it up is to small and it came a part before I even hung it up. I had to reclap the cable. The led or top does not stay in place because it don't attach to the feeder, like most feeders do, it just sets on top. Look at my picture of it, the top is off set because there is more seeds on one side of the feeder. If it would attach to the feeder, this would not happen. I bought this feeder because I can put 3 different types of feed in it but after buying it, I found out that it is poorly and cheaply designed. Don't buy it.

I love the concept of this feeder, but..and this is a big but...do not waste your money. Unless there is a trick to this and is not explained on the instructions, this is a piece of garbage. The wire that runs from the hook on the top down the middle to the bottom of the feeder, does not stay int he middle of the feeder exactly. This causes the top to keep popping open and the seed falling out. If there is a trick to make the wire stay put i the center so the top doesn't come off I would love it if someone would share that with us, because filling it with seed does not make the wire stay.

I have been using this feeder for years. It has wider trays that larger birds feel comfortable perching on. My Cardinal pair feed one on each side. It is not uncommon to see three Groesbecks perched comfortably and calmly, feeding all at once on these feeders. These larger birds feed standing sideways in the tray. Most feeders do not provide them this type of stability for perching at such an economical cost. The only problem with this feeder is that squirrels will hang upside down off of the top and feed out of the tray; when they jump off, or are frightened, the feeder often will spin and there can be a loss of food from the wider trays. It's more than worthwhile though when you see all the large birds that these feeders attract, and the length of time that they actually feed. The loss of seed is eaten by ground feeders.

FEEDER WAS OF FAIR QUALITY, WHEN i WENT TO HANG IT UP, THE WIRE LOOP FOR HANGING CAME APART AND THE FEEDED FELL AND HIT THE GROUNG CRACKING THE CLEAR VISION PANEL. tHE LOOP WAS MADE BY USING A WIRE CRIMP THAT WASN'T CRIMPED TIGHT ENOUGH.
