I did A LOT of research before purchasing this as it was my first grill. Overall, the grill has been excellent, but not impressed by the durability or customer service. During my very first cook, I set something hot on the table and the attached image is the result. The metal table felt very durable and has heavy duty coating - paired multiple videos / reviews of users doing the same thing with no issue and the manual not saying otherwise; I thought I was in the clear. Even worse, Weber asked me to pay $150 for them to send a replacement table - which made my negative experience even worse!

As advertised. High quality bbq that holds heat surprisingly well. Lots of ways to accessorize as well. Recommend getting the cast iron grates for steaks and chops. Side table well worth the money.

The Performer is the perfect kettle for me. I needed the shelf, but did not have the space in my grilling area for a larger Performer Deluxe. I have been grilling 50+ years, but I never have had a kettle grill. The Performer exceeds my expectations in temp control, quality build, and flexibility. It’s a fun grill to use!

First, I am a Charcoal/Wood grill fanatic. If you want anything that will last for a Lifetime, buy a Weber! I purchased a Performer grill back in 2000 and (3 cooking grates later) it still looks new. I grill at a minimum 5 days a week and sometimes twice a day. A couple friends have gone through many cheaper grills in the time I have owned mine. I moved to a new home and my larger Performer grill's size just wasn't ideal. I purchased the new shorter Performer that has the fold down side table which fits perfectly with my little 14" Smokey Joe and my 14.5" ( I downsized from the 18") Smokey Mountain bullet smoker. My original Performer is still used regularly at my shop for cooking lunches. My Rotisserie ring travels back and forth cooking Chickens, legs of Lamb, Tenderloins, Roasts and whatever I feel like spinning for hours. Anything Weber sells will last a lifetime. From grill covers, smoke boxes, charcoal baskets and cooking utensils they are all designed to be the best. I've tried ALL of the "Fad" type grills and they All come up short by comparison. I can get new grates from a dozen stores around me and any and all parts are usually 1 day away. For me, there's nothing like cooking American Style on a timeless, classic American Made grill.

This grill comes with a grate that uses the "gourmet" accessories insert. The round insert in the grate center must be removed or will fall out when you remove the grate to start the coals. I think the purchaser should be given a choice of grates when he buys the grill or it should just come with the grate without the gourmet insert as the default.

Great Grill, with only 1 occasional problem. When moving the grill on uneven surfaces, the bottom screen slips out of its grooves (minor bracing issue)…resetting is easy enough. The grill was easy to install with the app! I definitely love the smaller working surface and lid holder. Love the caster wheels for moving back into storage position. All in all, a very good grill and pretty much what I expected. This was a good purchase and I believe the better of the 3 styles. I would recommend this as a solid down-sizer from bigger grills. It’s perfect for my wife and I. We are back at the beginners level of grilling, having to relearn charcoal cooking from years of cooking on a pellet feeding grill. I am pleased with this grill. I deem it a great purchase and very good grill product from Weber.

Had a prior Weber, but this is really a nice set-up. Love the pop-up shelf and the larger grill surface.

This is my first charcoal BBQ and since I started to ensamble I love it, the nice material and good construction is noted. Now I want it cook everything outside. I recommended.

The Weber Charcoal Grill is amazing! There is a ton of features and performance in this grill! Why spend more? I have cooked steaks, ribs, pork shoulder and burgers and I am 100% satisfied! I can control the temperature for fast cook or low and slow! The results are amazing! I recommend this grill without reservation!!

Absolutely love it! So many ways to prepare your food and you can’t beat the flavors created by charcoal and wood.

I do a lot of indirect and smoking on my grill. Very happy that Weber has done a better job of working on heat retention. This is my 2nd grill in about 30 years. We use them hard, but Weber stands up to it. I expect to get 30 years out of this one. Excited to try out the new cooking accessories for the grate insert. My back loves the height.

What a great machine! I regret not buying one sooner. The frame is sturdy, the large wheels make it easy to move from point A to B and the ash cleaning system makes its mess free compared to other brands. A great feature is the folding table. Leave it down for ease of storage and put it up for tools, food and drinks! Finally, the quality of material and parts is superior. What a great grill from Weber.

Great grill for cooking and smoking food. really like the side table, and the lid holder. The ash catcher is also very nice, easy to use. Grill is well made and i’m sure we will get many quality years of use out of it.

Great grill! I love it’s height. That extra few inches saves from having to bend over to use it. It is great for grilling, smoking or using the rotisserie. It retains heat very well. It’s grate comes with the removable center for using a wok as well as hinged sides for easily adding coals. The side table allows more room for setting down my cast iron Dutch Oven/skillets.

That it requires up keep and maintenance, especially after about 4 years.

Added this to the kettle collection to take camping when we have a larger group than the Jumbo Joe can handle. Sturdy cart that works well being strapped to the floor of our toyhauler for transport. The folding table is nice for adding a little extra workspace to the camp kitchen and the lower shelf is nice to keep accessories of the ground when not in use.

My first Weber and I am not disappointed at all. I have been grilling/smoking for years on other types of grills because I thought I needed to have a certain type of grill to cook that way. But I learned that sometimes less is more. You don’t need a BIG fancy grill to make amazing food.

Cooks perfect & fast that your friends will not wait for a long time. We love the taste that is cooked in charcoal that has a unique taste compared to gas grilling. The quality is solid, thick material & sturdy, made in USA. Returned my other brand pellet grill & buy this one. Highly recommended!

I was surprised with the weight when I lifted the box delivered from our doorstep. That’s why it was so heavy, the materials are thick & the black enamel paint is shiny. The grill itself you can see is solid & heavy compared to the the other brand smoke grill that burned the auger bushing & motor stops turning. I am very happy with my new Weber Grill performer, basic charcoal grilling is still the best! Thank you Home Depot & Weber Grill for an exceptional services you have offered to the people!

I bought it for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. I think it was pretty easy to put together. Looks super fancy and we’ll made! The delivery was in time and super helpful, the person even offered to help us bring it in.

I love this grill. My only qualm is that it drips fat or grease from the lid onto the concrete and my dog (who is an idiot) eats it and gets sick.

Bought this after doing a bunch of research online. The cooking surface is plenty big enough for my purposes, and the hinged grates are a big plus. I saw a couple reviews that trashed the ash catcher design and while i think it could be easier, its not as bad as others have mentioned. Assembly was straight forward even without the ‘bilt’ app they want you to use. So far ive grilled a couple top round steaks and a pork loin, and i really like this grill. Honestly the only bad thing i can say about the grill at this point is the top vent is VERY tight to close and open. So much it looks like it lightly scratched the black enamel of the grill. Maybe it will loosen in time. Other than that this grill is exactly what i wanted.

This makes a perfect Father’s Day gift! He couldn’t wait and had to use it the same day!

Love the grill. Upgraded from the original kettle. Easy to assemble. Great to have side table, lid holder, ash catcher, and lower shelf. I liked the price as well. I use a torch and chimney starter so I didn’t need the deluxe that adds quite a bit to the price.

I had a Platinum before getting the Performer, they both have good features. I liked the ash catcher on the platinum better, but do like the temperature gauge on the Proformer. All in all both grills are great. I love my charcoal.

The grill itself is fantastic, the weber cover made for it though is terrible. One velcro latch to hold it to the grill, constantly picking it up in the yard.

Three cooks since purchase; chicken wings, burgers, and baby back ribs. I was amazed at how great the food tasted, as I am by no means a grill master. Grill is high quality, and easy to assemble, but the axle for the large wheels is so long that the grey plastic hub caps won’t stay on.. Using the grill is so easy whether cooking directly or indirectly and the temperature is much easier to maintain than I thought it would be. I love all the features especially the Gourmet BBQ grate and ash catcher.

We love the customer service we have received; the features of the grill that are great are the collapsible side table, the ring to hold the lid; the enclosed ash tray; and the removable center on the grill.

We like the foldable table that is built into this grill. We had it for a month and we really like the quality of the grill. It meets our expectations.
