Love my cooler. Holds ice good and is of good quality

Love these coolers! We rake them camping. We fill them with ice and drinks on Friday and don't have to think about ice again until we come home on Sunday. They are super tough and the rubber feet keep them from sliding around. Pay attention to how the double latch works, it may pinch fingers.

Work great but the weight to capacity is far from ideal. In other words, this is a heavy cooler which is even heavier with ice. Does not have much capacity for food and beverages once the necessary amount of ice is added.

Excellent ice retention . 6 days in bed of truck refilling with bottles of water 3 times . However ... heavy .

This is a fantastic cooler! I considered many of the other high end coolers and I feel that this is the very best and at a great price from Home Depot. One of the latches did not operate smoothly and the folks at Pelican Customer Service quickly sent me a replacement. I purchased two restaurant steam table pans to serve as racks for inside the cooler and they fit absolutely perfectly. The best cooler on the market by far.

Works as advertised so far no problems to speak of.....only time will tell. But is a huge leap ahead of my old igloo chest by far. Feels as you could drop it from a plane and it would be ok.

I would say it is a very good cooler. It is very heavy and bulky. It does indeed keep ice for days. I bought to go across country. It will work great for that as well as a great weekend retreat for storing beef and chicken for a few days. I would have given it a 5 star if not for the above

Man - this thing is rugged! If your typical supermarket Styrofoam™ cooler is a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10, this cooler is about 98. It claims the ability to keep stuff cool for up to a week, and while I don't doubt that, we all know it will depend on the amount of ice (or dry ice) and the outside temp (plus how often it gets opened). That said, even empty, this thing is heavy, so full it is a bit much for kids or those less athletic to muscle around. The smooth surfaces wipe up well, but that also means the base slides - even on carpet. So the fact it has recesses where tie downs can fit is handy. It's lockable, and the clasps would probably take a racoon at least 30 seconds to figure out. Keep in mind the thick insulation also means a smaller interior. Realistically, this is overkill for most people, but if you need a rugged cooler, it's great to have a Made-in-America option

This is just like expensive brand. Works awesome.

Awesome cooler. Holds ice well. Little on the heavy side but not too bad.

Shipped very timely and is excellent quality construction. As good, if not better than other higher priced 'name' brand coolers. Love the lock and easy pick up handles. Foot grips are great for holding in place. Much better than a standard cooler's flat and slick bottom. Be aware that the insulation and construction make it heaver than regular coolers. This will fit nicely in the front of my boat and provide fresh ice for our trips.

Did the ice test only to fail on day one. After 24 hrs sitting in thr cool basement, ice was completely melted. Terrible. This is going back.

Holds ice all weekend while camping. Not a ton of room, but holds enough beer water and soda for a family of 4. Usually refill the drinks once a day and use the same ice for 2-3 days.

Yeti Hasn't got one thing on Pelican Coolers ! Roto-Molded is the way to go, but Pelican is the only American Made Cooler of this stature on the market! I already own a 65 Qt. Tan Elite Marine Cooler that I've had for 3 years now and the 35 Qt. is just the right size when it's just a weekend trip in my wife's Chevrolet Traverse ! The 65 Qt. stays in the Toyota Tundra or is used around the house. The Ice holding time is right up there and out preforming the rest! Thanks Home Depot for selling a Great American Made Product !

Simply a beast!!! Keeps stuff extremely cold. I think you could beat this thing with a bat and no damage. CONS: small inside due to thickness of insulation. Can be heavy when full.

This cooler is built like a tank and will last me a life time .

This a a heavy weight (in lbs.) cooler designed to keep things cold for a long time. We used it for a week trip to the beach, refilling it with cold drinks daily and used only 20lbs of ice. Great cooler!!!!

It kept ice for 10 days but condensation formed around the drain plug and that was not functional in my back seat.

This cooler does not keep ice any better than my igloo extreme. It may be fine if it is not being opened all day, but we use it for games & tailgating so it is being opened and closed constantly. Also one of the latches broke after 6 months. And the cooler is only used twice a month. Warranty is only good for 90 days on that.

When I saw this I was so excited because purple is my favorite color. My son told me the Pelican is comparable to Yeti and was less expensive. When the deal of the day included this purple Pelican, I ordered it right away. Well, when it came it was 'pink' not purple. I kept it but was so disappointed about color - I order purple and get the product i ordered but it was pink.

Be advised that the dimensions listed on this item are not correct. It is not 26.4" inches tall. It is 26.4" wide. I had to take the handles off for it to fit into an existing storage compartment that I ordered it for. And when I tried to take the handles off, two of the screw heads were stripped. A call to Pelican has not been returned in regard to replacement screws.

Better price than YETI. Great quality! Freezable seal! Keeps ice nearly week in TX 100 degree heat. Read instructions for hints on how to use effectively! Will keep rest of my life!
