They work fine and are made well for the inexpensive price..No running wires is a blessing because I can more them anywhere at any time with ease. Winter short days is a problem because the batteries do not take a full charge but summers are adequate.

would buy again
All of the units work very well. If you want a lot of light they don't do that but they do illuminate well and recharge daily even in the winter with no problem

Easy setup, looks nice, but throws very little light
It can take a couple of days for these lights to fully charge up, so don't assume it's broken if it doesn't go on the first night. Unfortunately, they aren't very bright. My neighbor's motion activated light makes them turn off, so they didn't turn out to be very useful.

Not very bright
These lights were very easy to install and look very nice, but they are not as bright as I expected them to be and if it's not a bright sunny day some don't go on at all.

the product is better than i had hoped for
They are absolutely beautiful along our walkway. The star design is stunning at night when they are all lit. They weren't that difficult to install at all. We actually had fun, my husband and I, putting them together & placing them around our house. I actually hope to purchase more sets to go around our flower beds as well!!!

Very nice valued and descent solar pagoda lights
I was impressed on the packaging of the six lights. They didn't waste any space. The layout of the items within the box was protected in the arrangement and covered with plastic. Easy storage if you buy extras for damaged or burned out solar panels, like I did. The lighting units are of average quality, and the price works. The whole light works out to almost the price of a new battery. Instead of spending money on batteries, I just bought 12 extra pagodas instead. Recommended for average landscaping. Figure 18 months average life per fixture @ roughly $2.99 ea. Good deal for me. They also changed the riser from plastic to metal.

OK For the price
I bought 2 sets of these lights and had my girlfriend put them together ( took her all of 5 minutes ) . If you are looking for a "Bright Light" then don't buy these . They make a nice star design as mentioned by others but as for lighting up a walkway they don't do much . I ended up mounting all 12 lights ( 2 sets of 6 ) on the railing on my back deck ( see photo ) and they give the deck a bit of class after dark . Just plastic lights but I didn't expect more from the price of these . Overall I am pleased with the purchase . Have had them now for about 3 weeks and all of them work great . Just need sun to hit them during the day and battery gets fully charged after a few hours . Well worth the money unless you want a brighter light .

Twice the light!
I bought these based on the reviews I read and I'm glad I did. They are sturdy and give off a light that really shines and they make a star pattern on the ground in addition. I love the way they look.

Great value and so attractive at night
Although I bought these 2 years ago, I just put them in yesterday. I charged the solar heads on a table in bright sunlight and stuck them in the ground in th early evening. Come complete dusk they all came on in their time of enough darkness. Pleasant surprise with the star pattern, attractive and lights a path. Back here to buy some more!!

Queen of Solar Lights
I love to try new solar lights when they come out. One day I was at Home Depot and thought I would get 2 packages of these starburst solar lights to try them out. If i liked them I would get more!!! Well they work beautifully and so Im heading back to get more for Fathers Day June 2012.
I love to try every solar light to see if it meets up to this Queens Solar Lights Challenge and this one does!
Alot of the reviews say that they are hard to put in the ground!! Honestly if a woman can do it without directions any one can do it! They are not hard to put together just take the bottom of the stake out and put in the hole-- take the ribbon paper out of the battery compartment and slip out and twist the globe around the inside of the brim. Its not that hard anyone can do it..
I would recommend that your ground be wet so you dont break off your plastic parts on the bottom.. Also you dont have to use the most expensive ni cad batteries you can get your batteries at outlet stores and they last just as long,
I give this solar light challenge a 5 star rating! from Colorado!!!

It's a Good Value
I've had some of these walk lights for a couple of years. I liked them so well, I bought a dozen more this year. Yes, they are made of plastic, but the unless you go up close to look at them, you really cant' tell. I left the lights out all year long. They were covered under a foot of snow for the majority of winter. I hadn't expected them to work, but wow - they made it! That sold me. The star pattern it reflects on the ground is the icing on the cake. They are a white type of light, but not bright. It's just right!

Sturdy Solar LED Lights
The aluminum post is sturdier than the all plastic ones. These lights also make a interesting light pattern on the ground.

This product nice for the price
I really like this 6 pack of LED walk lights. Our side walk use to be very dark and hard to see the steps. With theses we can see perfect now and I love the pattern the light makes. The only thing I am not satisfied is with the steaks that go in the ground. They are a cheap plastic, One had broke when placing it in the ground. :( Still useable but not as sturdy as the others.

Nice lights - work well
For relatively inexpensive solar lights - these are pretty good. My previous set lasted me over 4 years and a few are still working. Nice star burst light pattern. Easy to assemble. Look great in place.

Product as promised
Gives off more light than I thought. Must be placed DIRECTLY in sunlight for longest duration to work. Putting it together should've been easier but took some arm muscle work to push the parts in together.. Would buy again though for the price.

The product works well
We purchased the solar lights on-line but had already purchased a number of them the prior year. We found that the ones that were already a year old were still working just fine (and we leave them out year round). We use them around walkways and steps and find that if we come home when dark this gives us a safer path into the house.

Works better than expected, look great
I have always been a bit skeptical of solar lighting and its ability to stay bright all night. I have to say I was impressed with these. While they don't light up a big area, when separating multiple units 5-6 feet apart there is ample decorative lighting on the walkway. Would have rated 5 in the 3 boxes I ordered (total 18 lights) 2 of them broke while assembling. Handle them carefully while assembling the plastic see through piece to the top solar panel.
