This was the perfect addition to a very unique home. It's old copper style blended in well with the rough cut beams and pine cabinetry. In this case it's easily accessible from any side since it hangs over a peninsula cooking area. A nice conversation piece that adds to the decor.

Being an engineer there are a few safety and design issues that concern me.
(1) It's a heavy unit and they use a single acorn nut at the eye-bolt that goes through the top. Acorn nuts are never supposed to be used as a "primary fastener" but are used as a decorative end-cap so that threads are not exposed. Over-time with vibration/movement the nut can loosen causing the entire unit to fall. I purchased and used a locking nut instead and used the provided acorn nut to finish the locking nut.
(2) With the price you pay I'd expect them to provide a matching finish eye bolt that goes into the ceiling as well as a few "S" hooks. I had to buy those and the closest I could find was stainless steel.
(3) The rack is held in place with 4 - 5 steel pegs that screw into the circular ring. Threads are cut into the ring which allow the pegs to hold into. The threaded portion of the pegs are not ground "square" they are rough cut, therefore some may screw in deeper than others. A better way would have been simply to weld the pegs/brackets in place. Considering that pots can hang on just the wire mesh, I'm fearful that over time they will losen and fall out. I'm debating if I should weld them in or not.
(4) Interestingly my unit came with corrosion on some of the fasteners and on some of the screws. Not sure what's going on there...
The biggest reason why I didn't give it lower stars is because this was the only "smaller" pot rack that I could find that hangs and seems to be of better quality. The issues I found were cheap to repair and they company could have done this. But for the price and the construction you are getting is not really worth it. Someone not knowledgeable enough can assemble this and have it fall from the ceiling or their pots fall in the future!!!!!

Love this rack!
Have had this rack for almost five years, it is so beautiful still and a necessity in my kitchen. Have added hooks and use the top rack as well. Well worth the money.

Pot Rack
Luv, luv, luv it. Looks great in my kitchen above my island with the dark granite. Really sets off my stainless steel appliances. My electrician put it up with no problems. Just want to warn everyone that it is extremely heavy.

Cute, decoritive and functional!
It is definitely heavy and you will need at least 2 people to hang it. It is compact and very attractive.

Excellent but heavy
Well made, easy to hang. It's very heavy so I do have a concern about the whole thing falling from the ceiling. Wish it were made of aluminum, but well worth the price.

Perfect product when cabinet space is limited.
In the process of remodeling, a cabinet was lost and this product provided space for large pots. It was the perfect shape and size because the longer rectangular ones would have interfered with another cabinet door opening. it also filled a large space where we could not put shelves or another cabinet. The design adds to the overall look of the kitchen.

color, style and size was perfect for what I needed
this is the second one I purchased, the first was for my house in AZ. excellent quality, perfect size for the small spot that I had to hang it from. easy to install but you do need two people as it is very heavy. must be screwed into a ceiling beam. lots of hooks to hang your pots and pans from. easy to put together.
