Easy to install. Screws dive deep into the wood.

These OZCO black rafter ties that I used for my new pergola look great. I almost purchased the regular 2” clips but I’m glad I got the High Velocity clips. They just look a lot better on a large pergola. And the Laredo style adds a little more character. These clips also come with 1 1/4 hex screws. I bought a separate pack of 2 3/4 hex screws to insert up into the 2x10 rafters.

There is no measure of just how high a wind velocity is withstood by "high velocity" clips. Other than the "feel-good, non statement", six screws does seem stronger than three. I (we) like the appearance.

This is the second time I have used these ties on a pergola. They not only secure the joists with strength and precision, they look good too!

These work out perfect for the application, they even provide ALL the screws necessary for installation!

These were easy to install and seem very strong.

The screws use a #3 Phillips head which are not specified in the direction with the box.

These were great and made attaching the boards to the others so much easier and they look good.

Although these clips will secure the rafters they are limited on providing structural support when used alone for this purpose. I even tried adding additional clips with similar results.

Perfectly secured my 2x6 pergola rafters.

As an architect, loved the OWT (ozco) products till this second order of clips. They changed from good hex head screws to cheap Phillips screws. Of the first 20 screws, only 5 got all the way in. The most stripped before they got half was in or they shot off into the grass. At the cost of these kits, that is unacceptable. Manufacturer stated that it was a known issue and wouldn't be fixed until the next production run in Spring of 2018. Offered no solution or replacement screws, so left me to find my own replacement screws. Simpson has a new line that competes and they sell the black hex head screws needed.

Ordered on line and just got my custom design pergola built. I like the style, and very easy to install the 13, 14ft. 2x6 cedar boards. And they look GREAT.

They worked and looked great on my pergola. I would recommend this product for anyone that has a deck, pergola or arbor.

Ozco products are quality products. Very happy.
