Canopy was easy to assemble and easy to install. My canopy is 6 ft wide so I had a friend give me a hand. I would recommend it to be a 2 person install. Excellent construction It looks great !!!!!

Materials light weight and not noisy.........................

The instructions were easy to follow, but a bit more detail would be nice (some hardware positions were inferred, but not stated, such as 'step 10, install awning to wall hold-down screws'. As long as you are comfortable with most household projects, this item should be relatively simple to install. Anything longer than four feet will take two helpers to put up.

We needed to replace an old ugly canopy over our back door. We thought of building something but then found this as an easier solution and more appropriate for our 1953 house - matches well with the one over the front door. It was easy to assemble and install - a couple of ladders, a couple of baby boomers, it drops right into place. Let it snow, let it snow . . . .

Overall the Canopy looks nice and durable after we figured out how to install.... Installation was HARD! The instructions they send with the package was very HARD to understand. (I'm not an idiot) but the people upline that either manufacturer or sell were not very nice when I called ( & E-mailed) them for clarity on installation. One even replied back "Maybe we shouldn't even talk with people that buy brands we don't make!" .... They could make an installation video to put online to clear up some of the issues on How to....

This is a great design that makes it easy to assemble. All parts fit together smoothly. The screw holes are pre-punched making the screw placement obvious. One person can assemble it. However, with the 6' wide one it is easier with two people. Two people are needed to install it on the wall.

Easily installed with two people. It's light enough but unwieldy. I didn't have clearance under the eaves to position the hanging bar the called distance above the door ( the issue is your door, when open, hitting the underside of the canopy). I positioned that bar 8-9" above the door and gained open-door clearance room by placing a 1/4" spacer washer under the bottom mount point of each canopy side panel. A tip: I dropped the tailgate and did the initial assembly on an old blanket in the bed of my pickup - lot easier on the back. Pricey.

We've been unable to decide what to do with our back entry (double sliding door). We still aren't firm but we knew we needed something to cut down on the water and dirt splashing up from the pad. When my husband learned there was more to the installation that just "putting it up" he became weary as other joint installation projects can turn a little ugly (I'm analytical, he just "goes with it"). We purchased the larger awning and aside from a few small issues it was amazingly easy to install. It looks wonderful and I can't wait for the first rain to test it out.

I bough this product to cover my front door. It looks really good but i will have to see whether it can handle the wind season.

Bought it so I could "hear the rain" but it really adds to appearance of upstairs balcony with French doors. Bought the largest available so wife and I can sit under it with our coffee while it rains. Will also help protect the wood doors from sun and rain. Thought it was a little pricy and more difficult to install than I expected but nothing too bad. Two people would have been easier but only had myself. I considered one without sides but glad I paid the extra. Sides make it much more durable and better looking.

Perfect. A little tricky to assemble the first one but not too bad. Second was a breeze

Great awning design. Complicated assembly process requires a bit of patience to align all the parts...but the result is very good.

Drove 100 miles to the store to pick up purchase where it would be shipped. When we arrived at the store signed and received item. While installing, we realized we where short materials. We called the store and the store said 1 box wasn't given to us. I asked if the store could compensate us for our troubles, they said we should of checked inside the one parcel before leaving the store. There was a small parcel included that wasn't given to us when we arrived for the shipment. I guess that's my fault for not ripping open the box and checking for all the parts. Good product, but receiving the full shipment can cost you a lot more than you budgeted for

This canopy was very easy to put together via the instructions. The installation was easy, but you will need an extra hand to lift canopy up above the door. Highly recommend this item!

It took me 3 hours to put it together, I would have like it Better If it was ALL done for me, and it came Assembled. The Instruction were a bit comfusing, and Each step had a lot of things to do, instead is Easy 123 steps. Then I had to build a Platform so I could put my ladder over the 3 front steps. I Installed it alone and it ALL took me an another 3 hours, Total. I also used the extra screws to re-inforced the bottom brackets. J. Silva It had helped keep the wind/ rain from hitting the front door, and leaking into the house, door with bottom door rubber threshold.

I needed this primarily for shade. My back storm door gets baked by the sun until it's hot to the touch. I installed this alone in under 2 hours, but help installing it onto the house won't hurt, but not absolutely necessary. Make sure the entire awning is secure in the channel attached to the house! Also, in applications with vinyl siding, the side attachments may need some type of shim under the siding to keep the siding from buckling in. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole and used a 3/4 inch nut 1/2 thick as a shim and a bigger washer covers the hole and nut. All of this is under the side awning attachment point, only a bit of washer is seen just caulk the edges. Now the vinyl siding is not crushed and buckled when you tighten the screw. This only applies to the two side attachment points. The top bracket won't have this issue because it is mounted on the flatest part of the siding directly under a ridge.

So easy to put together, light weight, nice looking,. It keeps it out of the bad weather.

Fantastic it looks great. It has changed the entire look on the rear of my house. I had it placed over the security door I pupurchased and it looks great.

I really like this aluminum awning, I only wish the side of the box hadn't been hit during shipment, it was only after I opened the box I saw the big indentation on one of the side panels. My brother was only able to help me for a short time, otherwise I would have returned it to the store and waited another week for a replacement. I felt the awning was a bit over priced,(and the damaged side didn't help), but it was exactly what I needed. I pray it holds up well in a high wind. I would recommend this to someone else, just make sure you are there to inspect it upon delivery and have another person there to help you put it up. It works very well in keeping the rain and snow from reaching my front door.

After doing some research for awnings, I decided on this one. The awning arrived faster than I thought it would. At first I thought it would be difficult to out together but it was quite simple. With help from my thirteen year old niece I was able to put it together fairly quick. The awning looks great and is very sturdy, it's very sleek and makes the area stand out.

Excellent product, very straightforward and doable installation method.
