A beautiful furnishing, a very functional utility piece & a high quality, fun DIY kit - for a reasonable price!
The natural butcher-block wood & simple lines make this a very attractive cart/hutch for any kitchen or dining area. It is made of very high quality materials & hardware, which fit together perfectly. The assembly instructions are very clear & if you need a little extra help, there are great assembly videos available on their website. There is nothing that I dislike about this product. There are two different width size units available, so choose carefully. We use this for a microwave-oven cart & it just barely fit, so check the internal dimensions of the hutch, cabinet & drawer to make sure your items will fit. You can mount the towel-rack on either side, as you desire; which I thought was a nice touch by the designers. The instructions suggest rubbing mineral oil into the wood to protect it & make it shine. My son & I went over all surfaces & especially the end-grain edges with fine sandpaper & steel-wool to make sure all the pieces were smooth to the touch. After blowing off the dust, for two days we rubbed it down with a generous coating of mineral oil & let it sit overnight (I suggest you a gallon & use it a couple of times a year). We were overjoyed at how it glowed & felt wonderful to the touch; but even more important, how Mom beamed when she saw her new, real-wood, microwave cart. We've had it for about a month now & we think it is one of our best purchases ever!
This is real wood. The box was a little banged up from shipping but all the parts were fine. Oh - the box is really a two person lift unless you're a weight lifter. Assembly was straight forward but a little bit more involved than simple shelf units. The only problem I had to solve was at the end when I went to put the drawer in. The alignment was a little to the right and the drawer front was hitting the side panel. Solved it with a couple of washers to shift the glide rail over, gaining enough left shift. Otherwise, this is a beautiful unit. Sturdy and should last for many years. They have several "sizes" and we picked this one to fit the location in our kitchen. Highly recommend the brand.

Excellent product at an excellent price. Catskill Craftsmen carts are made in the USA with sustainable hardwoods responsibly sourced in the US - something that sold me on this brand. The directions were clear, and I highly recommend the online video by Grandpa Dickie. :)) I was able to put this together by myself - but I would recommend 2 people as it's slightly awkward with one person. All the hardware I needed was included, and all of the pilot holes lined up perfectly. I also recommend a drill driver to assist with getting the wood screws into the hardwoods. Lastly, I wanted to order some extra parts for this cart #51526 and called the manufacturer directly a couple of times. They were really helpful with their customer service and the overall experience has been excellent from start to finish. Thank you Home Depot & Catskill Craftsmen!

The product itself is great! Very Sturdy! The biggest problem I had with this product was assembly. None of the physical parts were labeled so we were left guessing if we were using the correct sides. The screws were mislabeled and some were just thrown in 1 big bag with no label at all. FRUSTRATING
I ordered this to match a Catskill island as I was very pleased with the quality of craftsmanship. Some care does need to be taken when assembling but it goes together well. I used a finishing oil to protect it. This costs more than a pressboard piece but is a better buy for the long run.

I really think you need to add stars for how I feel about the quality, customer service, and how it looks in my place. I need at least seven stars - yes it is that good. There was what I thought was a minor issue with one of the corners, not a big deal. I sent them some pictures of the corner and asked if they thought some Elmer's Wood Glue and a clamp would take care of it and it would be OK to do that. (I did not want to throw a whole piece of wood out for one corner in the back on the bottom) Without my prompting or any conversation about replacing the wood, a few days later I had a package and, you got it, they had sent a replacement piece. That is above and beyond what I would think a place would do, especially after a few 'customer service' issues with nameless places. And oh, the replacement? It will make a nice small table to match the Hutch and make for a hella nice eating nook. It is so rare to see such quality materials, and Customer Service that should be the model for others to aspire to. This place made it a better world today. (I'm allowed a little schmaltz huh?)

Good Quality
I took my time and followed directions and everything went well....mostly. The drawer is just a little crooked....but I think I can fix it. (One rail is a smidge higher on the front end than the other due to screw placement.) Unfortunately, the towel bar is very cheap. The metal roller would not fit in the holder dowel holes. I decide not to use it ......but that leaves the holes. I may replace it with a paper towel holder later. We'll see.
I am looking for glide to replace the casters as it will be stationery.

Made of real wood! On line instruction videos were very helpful. First thing I ever put together and I did it!
The customer service was great. I had a little problem with the towel bar fitting and they gave me advice and it worked.

Very High Quality
Replaced a 7 year old ready-to-assemble unit (all compressed wood) with this unit. It fell apart after 6 years. It also yellowed, and warped where I had cleaned it, so I wanted a better unit this time around.
The new unit is beautiful, and high quality.
Instructions are clear. The typical assembly would probably be about 2 hours. A second person may be needed when installing doors to hold them in place as screws are put in. Also, when flipping it right side up (See below.)
Very nice quality, with real butcher block and wood components. There are a few small parts with waferboard / particle board, but they are supports that are out of sight.
When installing drawer glides, the instructions say they should be flush with the plate they are mounted to, but there is a 1/16" overhang. I slowed down here trying to figure if I had done something wrong. It was not an issue, so if you also have a small overhang, don't fret and move on.
OK, so almost perfect, but:
The unit is actually 24" wide at the top of the hutch. NOT 25 1/8". The extra 1 1/8" is the towel bar.
The assembly starts at the top, building the hutch first. Then, you invert and build the rest (which is the bottom cabinet) on top. At the end you flip it over.
Because of the design, the supports gradually cascade in, so the inside of the drawer is only 15 1/2 " wide, and just over 12" deep. Pretty small. If I could go back in time, I'd have bought the 31" wide unit from Home Deport that is made by Catskill Craftsmen.
Which leads us to the cabinet, which is also smaller than the outside dimensions might lead you think. It's about 20 1/2" wide, and 13" deep. Overall, the unit is 17" deep, so you lose 4" depth on the shelves, and 4" on the width.
Now, my perceived size issue may not be an issue for you. I was replacing a unit that was about the same overall size, so it was just a bit disappointing not to get everything into the new unit. The old unit had a bigger drawer and cabinet, but the frame was not as sturdy, which ultimately lead me to replacing it.
By the way, the bottom shelf that goes in the cabinet is deceivingly close in size to the middle shelf. If you place the bottom shelf, and there is an inch missing, try the other shelf!
So, GREAT American quality. Feels rugged and high end, just a smaller than perceived drawer and cabinet. I would be OK if I were blamed for not having asked, but it might be better if posted so one would know.
Keep in mind the inside dimensions are small when ordering. The bigger cabinet may better suit you. Also, real butcher block requires you splash it with some mineral oil occassionally, like twice a year.
I send a hearty "Bravo" to the manufacturer, but suggest they and Home Depot post the inside drawer and cabinet sizes. Mine may be off a fraction of an inch, but are very close.
I will look to buy this companie's product as long as they are around, and offer quality like this!

Sturdy product, easy assembly. Looks good.
This is a pretty solid product. Went together fairly easily with only one person putting it together. Assembly not for the first timer but easy enough. It looks nice, is all wood and metal (not cheap mdf and plastic). The only complaint is that they don't give you the opening (middle) dimensions. Take about 1 1/2 to 2 inches off the width to get the opening width.
